Last night I took a look at the TCU vs Georgia score on the internet. I blinked several times. Third quarter and already Georgia up 52 - 7.

The final was 65 - 7. Really, they need to do a better job of seeding these teams. TCU did not “beat” Michigan. Michigan gave away the store.

Maybe the SEC needs to have its own separate national champion. They have top shelf players and coaches coming out of the woodwork.

Michigan fields two football teams. Team A plays the regular season games and the Big 10 tourney game. Team B plays all bowl games.
Team B is 0-7 under Tarball. Team A is pretty darn good. I love Michigan football, but they need to stop the 2 team system

Maybe I am too close to the Ravens to see what you see, but I've watched all the games. Teams that go far in the post season usually have one thing in common, they've gotten better as the season progressed and they've got momentum from winning more than losing in the last quarter of the season. Baltimore has neither. Their offensive production has been stagnant, their red zone game laughable (even before Lamar was hurt) and they have zero momentum. The defense has gotten better but it's not the offense paralyzing defense we had in 2012.

Boy, do I hope you are right but I just can't see it. I will be surprised if Lamar plays. Having not played for the last five weeks, I'm not sure it will make a difference.

be fun to see if my asinine hunch plays out. remember - I did not pick it as an upset special ---just a 'fair warning'

Duly noted. :)
If the Bengals made one mistake in last week's game, it was acting like jackasses when they scored. Nothing like pissing a team off that you are going to have to play the following week. Even if it doesn't make a difference in the result, you just might end up with a few more injured players than if you had not acted poorly in the previous game.

At least it is clear that I don't drink the purple, Baltimore version of Detroit's blue Kool-Aid...

Although this thread is called the QQ NFL Tailgate thread there's very little said about cooking, BBQ, or tailgating. So then... this morning I just found out The Food Network has a show dedicated to tailgating face off. A couple of fans from rivalry teams get together for a contest of best tailgate treats.

"Locations featured are Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Chicago Bears vs. New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium, Green Bay Packers vs. Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium, and Philadelphia Eagles vs. Houston Texans at NRG Stadium."

I'm not sure what has already been shown but it's Chiefs vs Raiders at Arrowhead on Jan 18th. Might wanna poke around & see if they are doing a show with your home team:

And I must say, some of those tailgate recipes on TFN look pretty tasty.

That's an impressive statement coming from someone who lives in the undisputed center of the BBQ universe.

Wow. The heck with the game. Let's just stay in the parking lot and eat!

Won't be a cake walk, because it is the Seahawks, regardless of rain or no rain. But Niners win. Stadium will be packed, loud and proud. I won't be able to talk on Sunday.

hydrate, hydrate and then hydrate. A little bit of real lemon squeezed into that water will help

Here this may help also -

Niners 31
Seahawks - 6

Playoffs begin. Miami with no Tua? Ravens with no Lamar? Who saw this coming a month ago?

Its ironic how the health aspect is turning out for the Bills. Earlier in the season they lost Von Miller. and then Allen had the elbow thing that was never really a thing. They lost Mica Hyde for the season in week 3.. Not to mention the whole Damar Hamlin tragedy.

Yet they are among the healthiest teams in the playoffs. Pro Bowl CB Tre White returned a few games ago from knee surgery he suffered last season. He had a great game last week. Pro Bowl S Micah Hyde, along with WR Jamison Crowder have been taken off the IR, and are fully practicing. Both say they are ready to play when needed, but its the team's MD's decision.. They will likely be inactive for the Fins game.

'Never count Micah Hyde out' as safety returns to Bills practice

Bills could very well be coming into a nice defensive boost at the exact right time.

I have averaging 2 beers in parking lot and 1 beer 1st quarter, 1 shot of whiskey 1st quarter, makes for a much more enjoyable time when not all fucked up.

Unfortunately, Tua is made more like a normal human being, and he’s had injury problems going back to his Alabama days. So I expected it.

As for Lamar, each year gets tougher for him because of his style of play.

It really bugs me when a team loses because a key player is out with an injury. I want all the teams to be at full strength, no one getting hurt, and every game going to overtime

And the beers, flowing like wine. lmao

Yes, should be a good game. 49ers are really on a roll, 10 wins in a row. You talk about momentum! I'm just glad GB isn't playing SF😀( I've seen that story play out 1 to many times).

AR, I'm not a big Pete Carroll fan either...watching him run along the sidelines. Though, he is a good coach. I might put him in the top 5 of present day coaches. Seattle sure did get rid of R. Wilson @ the right time. Jets did screw up on both him & Geno Smith. Wasn't Carroll also a coach @ NE for a while??
Yes, Injuries will play a big part in the outcomes. Miami w/o Tau: no chance. Baltimore w/o Lamar Jackson has little chance.
My pick(s) for upset games: Minnesota getting beat by Giants & TB over Dallas....don't count the goat out!

Those two seem to be the consensus among those of us picking the upsets. The lines are tight. Minnesota's regular season wins have been wishy washy and Dallas can easily implode on any given Sunday (Monday.)

Bob, I actually liked the way Carroll brought a lot of enthusiasm to the Jets. Yeah, eventually coaches get fired, but giving him only one year is suspicious especially since Leon Hess fired him. Carroll probably told Leon to stick to selling green and white trucks to kids. LOL Carroll's replacement was Rich Kotite, the Rod Marinelli wannabe of the NY Jets, who's inspiration led to 3-13 and 1-15 seasons.

Any one of us who participates in this thread can coach an NFL team to a 1-15 record. I would go as far to say that we would have a very difficult time duplicating Rod Marinelli's 0-16 season. All I would say is, "Boys, go out there and have fun." And then go watch the game from the sky box.
