wow. Indeed, what the hell has happened to the Vikings ? What caused this collapse ? Sure, the Rams played awesome but thats now 2 weeks in a row that the Vikes were embarrassing. I dont recall seeing any "Go Vikings" jinx posts from JohnN. So, perhaps its the ghosts of the Jets ?
BTW they had 4 losses this year - 2 to the Lions and now 2 to the Rams.

footnote - first round this year was not all that exciting. one competitive game out of 6
Go Lions!

AR, I couldn't agree with you more. It is way to subjective & ruins the game.
Not that long ago DB's couldn't touch the wr, now they get mauled at times.

As far as most calls being accurate. Most are unless it's GB, then they seem to still screw it up. Like on the fumbled opening kickoff.

Watching. :ROFLMAO:

Darnold still showed a lot this year. if I were the Vikings, I'd do everything I could to keep him... But They do have a lot of qbs on the rooster.
Though He may wind up back with the Jets😂.... AR, you with me on this?
Isnt it just the unproven rookie McCarthy, Giants castoff Daniel Jones, and Darnold in the Vikings lineup?

Shame on you. Poor AR is off in a corner barfing somewhere.

They also have Nick Mullens & Brett Rypiens.... 5 qbs! Some teams will grudgingly only carry 2 but not the Vikings!
AR..get a grip man! On a side note, with McCarthy leaving Dallas, there's no way him & Rodgers ' reunite' @ the Jets.
The Big Apple isn't big enough for both of them...So I guess Rodgers better hit the road!

I also heard that about the 51% Vikings crowd.. but it sounded to me to be more for the Rams.
That’s really only because the Vikings fans had nothing to cheer about. There was the fumble the Vikings returned for a touchdown and it got REALLY loud, but then it was overturned and called an incomplete pass.

This article discusses the reason for the dysfunction of the New York Jets organization:

https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2024/12/20/new-york-jets-woody-johnson-org-report

Quoting the key points:

"BEHIND THE CURTAIN: THE ATHLETIC's Rosenblatt, Russini & Silver wrote the Jets this season had hopes of “quieting years of talk about the franchise’s dysfunction,” but at 4-10, this season has only “cemented” their reputation. At the “root of the franchise’s problems” is Johnson, who was “characterized as an over-involved, impulsive owner in conversations with more than 20 people in and around the Jets organization.” Various sources said that Johnson and his family have in the past done the following:

  • Johnson “soured on his franchise quarterback” -- Aaron Rodgers -- less than a year after “betting big on him.”
  • Johnson, his wife, Suzanne Ircha Johnson, and his teenage sons -- Jack and Brick -- have “criticized players inside the locker room.”
  • Brick and Jack have “brought friends -- male and female -- into the locker room.”
  • Johnson at times “seemed to follow decision-making advice” from his sons, who he started including “in some meetings at the team facility.”
  • For some Jets employees, the sons’ increasing involvement “clarified their father’s propensity for sharing posts from X and articles from various outlets” with the organization’s top decision-makers.
  • Johnson is “consumed with the public perception of his franchise, sometimes at the expense of on-the-field success.”
  • Johnson did not want to make a trade with the Broncos for WR Jerry Jeudy because the owner felt Jeudy’s player rating in the “Madden NFL” video game “wasn’t high enough” (THE ATHLETIC, 12/19)."

Early predictions on the NFL Divisional Round anyone? I believe that RP is still in quarantine, so the rest of us may have to step up.

Mine are:

Texans at Chiefs: The Texans were impressive in their win over the Chargers, but Mahomes shows up and the Chiefs move on to the championship game. The only question is how late in the game will Mahomes break the hearts of the Texans fans.

Commanders at Lions: The Commanders and their rookie QB are also impressive, but the Lions and Mad Dan are simply too much for them.

Rams at Eagles: I'm going with an upset here. McVay and Stafford have a lot of experience; and I think that Hurts is still quite rusty from being out so long after his concussion. I expect the game to go right down to the wire with the Rams surviving to live another day. (Note: Regardless of my prediction, I will be routing for the Eagles.)

Ravens at Bills: Sorry, but I won't touch this game with a ten foot pole. I hope everyone plays well and the game is exciting.

Rams at Eagles, I do know this having been there, Niners at Eagles, my wife's family lives in Philly, all of them including my one Calif daughter transplanted to Philly.
That Philly Stadium is brutal.

Niner fan: Eagles must beat Rams to close down the NFC West.

What is really weird is that my friend the Bills fan said to me early Sunday, "At least my Ravens won." I responded that I thought he was a Bills fan. He said that he is originally from Maryland but went to college in/near Buffalo and went to a lot of Bills games. I guess you could say that he is going to be a very conflicted individual this Sunday. LOL

Is that a no win or no lose situation?
