I mean, I'm not that impressed, but who the hell knows.
I was thinking the same thing. From an outsider’s view, it seems like the Bears want validation and McCarthy may bring that along with stability. However, where are you 3-4 years from now? A playoff team that can’t advance? Say hello to the Steelers…

I think its good. He was a winner in GreenBay and spoiled idiot Rogers got him tossed. He went to Dallas. That place is a Jerry Jones mess ! and was pretty successful there.. @Imbobman should weigh in on this. Bobby, whats the skinny on McCarthy ?
Bobby here! IMHO, McCarthy is a very good coach. He had the guts to let Favre go & start playing Rodgers. ..13 years @ GB & they made the playoffs 9 years.
You know, then after some years Rodgers became the smartest guy in the room &..... 'We'd like to thank Mike McCarthy for all......" I think after some years players tune a coach out! The Packers likely wouldn't have won the SB in 2010 with anyone else @ HC. He had excellent assistant coaches he brought in.
I think he would have a good chance to help the Bears improve..If their GM gets out of his away or is fired.. Though in some ways I hope he isn't hired by them. I like it when the bears suck & would like the status quo to continue😁 Sorry Gene.

This chart below is interesting! GB was there for 6 out of the 10 years, more any other NFC team & did 'Jack Squat' with it!

Jeff Daniels a lifelong Detroit Lions fan was on the Tonight Show last night and told the story about the Curse of Bobby Layne, a Detroit Lions QB who, in 1958, after being traded to the Steelers, cursed the Lions to not win a championship for 50 years. In 2022 he and Payton Manning went to Ford Field in an effort to break the curse.

The details

He even wrote a song.

I did the same with Mrs Cbmmm3. Not as detail oriented as you (written record and times) but told her that me and chores are available Saturday morn and early afternoon. But thats it for the weekend. Also said its football menu all weekend long

Whoa!!! I was going to make a copy of your note and hand it to my wife. Then I remembered the time zone difference.

EST:

Saturday:
Texans vs Chiefs 4:30 pm
Commanders vs Lions 8:00 pm

Sunday:
Rams vs Eagles 3:00 pm
Ravens vs Bills 8:00 pm

Aaron Rodgers vs Everybody Else:
All day, every day, 24/7

I think we can all agree, if your an NFL fan this is the best weekend of the season.

Pacific time, definitely the Goldilocks of time zones.

I swear I did not do this on purpose, and I did not even notice it until I saw my note on the screen. Detroit and Buffalo are the only two teams spelled out. They are my two picks, subconscious voodoo?
