Well Concert For George came today, which is not great news for TYA as it shipped way before CFG. I’m now almost positive the darn thing got lost… Gonna email them and pray they have a few extra copies laying around but I’m doubtful.

It’s been teased for a while, but I’m personally hoping we’ll finally get to hear Steven Wilson’s Atmos mix of Def Leppard’s Diamond Star Halos in hi-res.

My guess:

Mono, Stereo (wet mix), Quad, 5.1 and Atmos.

This will be mixed by Alan Parsons who comments: “I’ve been wanting to get more into Atmos mixing, but it seems Steven Wilson is getting the best titles. To build my Atmos portfolio, I’m afraid I’m going to have to slum-it for a while. Still, I’m happy to be a part of the marvelous SDE Surround project.”

Highlights of the news
1,000 more copies of Ten Years After - A Space In Time, available soon.
New artwork for Bob Dylan - Time Out of Mind blu ray, slipcase will remain the same. Pushed back to a mid-May release.
Tears for Fears- The Hurting is now going to include the Steven Wilson stereo remix. Also pushed back to a June 9 release.
Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells is confirmed at 5,000 copies. Ships May 26, before TFF.

Most importantly, number 11 will be a fixed quantity, so make sure to keep a close watch! Don't want to miss out on whatever the mystery title may be.

I have a feeling this one’s happening, maybe not through SDE, but there’s 3 “versions” of every track on that album. The Light-Side Mix, the Dark-Side Mix, and the Atmos In-Side mix. It would make sense to package all 3 versions on a disc

I'd like to see either Spirit or Memento Mori in surround/atmos. I have all the previous DM surround releases and they sound terrific. Memento Mori is surprisingly very good and well recorded - could be great in Atmos.

This is actually wearing on me, not knowing when #11 will drop and being another fixed issued release in a relatively small number.

What if it’s some really killer title like ‘Houses of The Holy’ or ‘Cosmic Wheels’ and it’s somehow between my visits? Here I’m fretting and I’m a retired dude on here all the time; can’t imagine what it’s like for some folks that actually have to deal with working.
