I agree in general with the exception of REFLEX the politics of dancing.I agree. I know it is a UK based company, but I hope this year there are a few more classic rock releases and a few less 80's Euro-pop.

Don’t believe so, as it wasn’t a numbered SDE exclusive release. While I'm thinking about it, was there supposed to be a slip cover for the Alan Parsons "Pyramid" stand-alone Blu-ray?If there was, I didn't get it.
Hope springs eternal. Here’s to hoping that the new EJ set will lead to more physical releases of his catalog. “Too Low For Zero” has a great Atmos mix streaming online and of course there are those classic albums that were mixed to 5.1 back in the day and never released. Of course, they’d probably want to remix them all to Atmos now, but still…
Is it too much to presume/hope that if Greg Penny remixed 48 tracks to Atmos for “Diamonds” that he probably did some full albums along the way?
I still miss Oldfield's Hergest Ridge 50th Anniversary Atmos/Quad/5.1 release. Could be done together with Ommadawn which has its 50th Anniversary next year.Excerpt from a Merry Christmas by @PaulatSDE:
maybe SDE could do 2 x Blu-ray album sets for Elton's Surround mixes as they have done with Wham! and Simple Minds? Here’s to hoping that the new EJ set will lead to more physical releases of his catalog. “Too Low For Zero” has a great Atmos mix streaming online and of course there are those classic albums that were mixed to 5.1 back in the day and never released. I'd kill for all that to be released. And because I'm a total sucker for titles that bring back warm and fuzzies of my youth. Elton John's Greatest Hits Vol 2. It was the very first LP from him I bought as a teen and I couldn't tell you how that vinyl release transformed me. Countless hours gazing at the artwork inside, singing back the lyrics along with the songs...wondering what they all meant. Sure, the songs would be redundant, but I could care less. Just seeing that cover on my shelf would bring me immense joy!maybe SDE could do 2 x Blu-ray album sets for Elton's Surround mixes as they have done with Wham! and Simple Minds?
or 2-fer's with 2 Atmos albums on 1 Blu-ray?
- Elton John/Tumbleweed Connection,
- 17-11-70/Madman Across The Water,
- Honky Château/Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player,
- Goodbye Yellow Brick Road/Caribou,
- Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy/Rock Of The Westies,
- Here & There/Blue Moves,
- A Single Man/Live From Moscow 1979 (+The Complete Thom Bell Sessions E.P. as a Bonus),
- 21 At 33/The Fox,
- Jump Up!/Too Low For Zero,
- Breaking Hearts/Ice On Fire,
- Live In Australia/Reg Strikes Back,
- Sleeping With The Past/The One,
- Made In England/The Big Picture,
- Songs From The West Coast/Peachtree Road,
- The Captain & The Kid/Elton 60 Live At Madison Square Garden,
- The Diving Board/Wonderful Crazy Night
they could include relevant Singles and B-sides as Bonus tracks for each album but skip several albums including 1979's Victim Of Love, 1986's Leather Jackets, 1993's Duets, 2010's The Union w/Leon Russell, 2012's Good Morning To The Night w/Pnau, 2021's The Lockdown Sessions and soundtrack albums such as The Lion King, Aida, The Road To El Dorado & Billy Elliott.

I don't think those are going to happen. Sure, a lot of Oldfield fans think they're at least as good as, if not better than, Tubular Bells, but they don't have the same legacy/reputation/status among the larger listening public. As I understand it, the SDE releases either happen because 1) Paul wants them to (TFF, Wham!, Paul Young) or because 2) a label has a release campaign that includes an Atmos mix - which could either be a new album or a classic one that gets reissued in multiple formats. Universal aren't likely to commission a new multichannel mix of an album that's not generally known as a classic if they don't have some other product to sell too.I still miss Oldfield's Hergest Ridge 50th Anniversary Atmos/Quad/5.1 release. What's your best guess at the next announcement title?
I haven't heard about any Atmos versions of the first 2 albums, are they coming in Atmos? Not a fan without Greg Lake.Pyramid Alan Parsons is $32 on Amazon now.
King Crimson is on the Atmos bandwagon. Where can I sell all my old CD/DVD 5.1 King Crimson sets? Anyone? Yikes!
Either of these and I would be happyJust wondered what the first SDE Surround Series Atmos blu-ray announcement will be for 2025...
I hope you are Watching as it could start with a ...Bang, but If You Let Me Stay following that, I'd Break it Down Again and offer some Advice for the Young at Heart, then again, it could leave us All Revved Up With No Place to Go or it could just leave you wanting More, and on that note, I'll say Goodbye Stranger.
