A download of the affected tracks would be better than nothing, but doesn't really make the product whole.

Or even at all for those of us who don't dabble in downloads and only do surround physical media.

I'm not going to complain much as I haven't even received mine yet (shipped on December 4 and STILL making its way through U.S. Customs... bleagh).

Mine has not shipped yet (being from Canada and they were put on hold due to the Canada Post strike). At this point, I would be more than happy to wait and get a corrected disc shipped. This one was more expensive than others, and ended up around $70 CDN. It really isn't acceptable to have a faulty product for that price! I do hope that SDE will do the right thing here.

For what it's worth, I'm quite enjoying the album on Tidal. I only knew the singles from it, so it's nice hearing those 'new' songs too. It's a good Atmos mix.

does anyone else (besides me) think that the slipcase doesn't really work on this release given the packaging of the case this time?
it's definitely not as bad as the Crowded House SDE release but I feel it still doesn't work quite as well as the standard HFPA cases with slipcase.

Same here. Download is no good for me. I'm only interested in physical media. What the hell am I supposed to do with a download of 1 track ????

The aforementioned flaw aside, it's a pretty nice product. Packaged nicely with a lot of options. I have listened to only the Atmos through my 5.1 setup at this point, but it's a solid mix with a lot of separation. The Howard Jones releases are still my go-to discs for the 80s synth pop stuff, but I have no complaints about the mix itself or the fidelity of the tracks. They really sound great. I was never into Thompson Twins, but my wife was, so this purchase was as much about appeasing her when I go into my surround sound listening mode as it was about pleasing myself.

Like others, I'd be fine with a simple replacement disc sent with one of my other pending orders with them. It's going to be expensive to do a reprint, but unfortunately seems necessary. Helping SDE cut costs by consolidating shipping seems like a reasonable thing to do.

No, I agree. The amaray cases are enhanced by the slipcases, the "paper" ones don't really need it to begin with and it's a bit awkward.

Received my copy yesterday. Only had time for a single listen to the Atmos mix and it sure did not disappoint. Incredible depth and sound fidelity with a completely immersive mix. One of my favorite 80's synth-pop albums sounds better than it ever has. Will dig in to the extras and 5.1 issues today. Fortunately not affected by any 5.1 glitches but still want an error free disc for these prices. BMG and SDE should just step up and offer a corrected replacement disc to anyone who wants it.

Even though the slip doesn't really fit, I do like the fact that there is an additional protective layer over the very glossy cardboard case. Plus, I can't argue with trying to minimize the use of plastic.
