Eric Clapton - Give Me Strength Boxed Set (another ES Mix!)

I love the ES surround mix more than the original SACD 5.1 mix of this album, and plus with the 2 Quad mixes, it's hard to pass up this set! Enjoy!

Another ES mix that's better than the SACD, but the chasm is greater for this one. This one REALLY smokes the SACD.
Too bad it hasn't been released in high-res yet. They had a perfect opportunity to do so with the "Layla" HFPA Blu-Ray a few years ago and didn't.
Total opportunity blown! But we already knew that…

Seriously, though, its ridiculous that they put out BDA discs and leave the surround mix sitting on the shelf!

I agree, but at least I think they only did that for that album and for Diana Krall's "The Look of Love".
Other than those two, I can't think of any other HFPA titles that were released just in stereo and lacking surround mixes that already existed.
They got the message from myself and several other disgruntled surround fans complaining on their Facebook page all the time.
After all, that's what the internet's there for, right?

With Steven Wilson's new stereo and surround mixes, the original stereo master, and all the extras, it is definitely the definitive version of the album! Glad you're getting it!

Yeah the Seal Best Of disc is wonderful, and if you like it, go for the other albums too, especially the first two!
