I had this on order back in the day with both Music Direct & Tower. Both claimed it was in stock, but neither could fill the order. My most sought after SACD, and it's on its' way...

No, this album was never done in Quad.

The album you're talking about is Musicmagic. I bought the SQ when it was released and I couldn't stand it. I returned that one for store credit. The classic lineup left after Romantic Warrior.

Since I love Velvet Underground...I decided to spend about $20 and get the Blu-Ray Audio of their debut. I know it won't sound superior...but my hope is it sounds better than standard CD. Worth a shot as I don't have the CD.

In regards to the surround version...it's going to be available for a long time...I can't see it selling out quickly...and when people hear it... the word will get out on the quality..if it's good you can pick it up later...you don't have to get it RIGHT NOW...just saying...I personally am not expecting very much...but having said that... I give these surround titles a chance even when I don't think I will like them...so I might give it a shot if it looks promising...and if I get it I'll let you listen to it...so don't hit the panic button because you don't have it the first day...

Another title has been delayed?..gone...who knows...MoFi is becoming MoF*ck...they have these release dates and then "poof"..they are gone...I've been wondering about a Hall and Oates SACD release that was supposed to be in stock on Oct 16..at several outlets like Acoustic Sounds and Elusive Disc...but no mention of this release at amazon or importcds and bull moose...and now acoustic sounds has this listing...I just hope this release doesn't join several titles I want that have gone on to the MoFi "graveyard"...they are the lost ones...the MIA releases..or as they have become known as..TBA(to be announced)..some have been in this cyber space area for 2 years...they give them a product number so you actually think they will be available and then you foolishly wait and they don't appear...I got so tired of waiting for this one I bought the Gold CD version and it's very good...but I just wonder why they do this...are they in financial trouble?...or just totally inept at running a business...maybe both...whatever has happened to MoFi over the last few years indicates that there is trouble somewhere along the line...I'm just glad that AF...under Marshall's leadership...has stepped up and has more than filled the void...especially in the sound quality department...some might complain about the content not being their style...but very few complaints about the sound quality on the AF discs...in the mean time I will sit in front of my computer screen and stare at the Hall and Oates disc and wonder if it will ever become available for sale..

YES - Tales From Topographic Oceans This would be the ultimate dream of dreams in 5.1 direct from the multi-track. I get chills just thinking about it. High The Memory!

Pink Floyd - The Wall. I've always loved this since it came out. I don't get what all the detractor's claim. It seemed the logical endpoint of where PF were headed. A masterpiece, made for surround 20 years prior to the technology of 5.1. I can't wait. :music

Pink Floyd - Animals. IMHO PF grew & matured from DSOTM all the way through to The Wall. Dogs alone, in surround, calls for a Global Rejoicing.

All Alan Parsons, esp. I Robot & Pyramid. Hey Alan Parsons! WTF??? Wake Up lad, sell your music. We aren't getting any younger.

Marillion - Marbles. How is this not in 5.1??? IMHO, perhaps the greatest recording of the 21st century. Instant classic.

Jethro Tull - Too Old... These oversized "book" releases should be a model format for all releases.

There was a time when I knew what he liked...but he's all over the map now..I know you liked it(gave it a 9)..but you also liked Roger's disc too(another 9)..I really hated both of those discs..I gave Endless River a 4 and if I would have voted on Roger's "work"...it would have gotten a 2...he will probably love Endless River...just to punish me:ugham:..I just wish he would have told me he was going to buy it..I would have sold him mine..GLADLY...I'll have to wait for awhile to sell my copy...too many for sale right now...

Yeah, I took a point off for content when it came to "The Endless River" (though I probably could have taken two points off to make it an '8', what with the whole no vocals until the very end concept) and I took a point off for the mix when it came to "Amused to Death". I also thought about giving "Amused to Death" an '8' but ended up taking a higher road for whatever reason or another as it is a very strong album IMO.
