There was a time when I knew what he liked...but he's all over the map now..I know you liked it(gave it a 9)..but you also liked Roger's disc too(another 9)..I really hated both of those discs..I gave Endless River a 4 and if I would have voted on Roger's "work"...it would have gotten a 2...he will probably love Endless River...just to punish me:ugham:..I just wish he would have told me he was going to buy it..I would have sold him mine..GLADLY...I'll have to wait for awhile to sell my copy...too many for sale right now...

Oh boy.....I knew someone was talking about me....I thought you already sold your copy...otherwise.... :)
Anyway...yeah. It's far from a guarantee I'll like it. I suspect I may not like Roger's stuff.....so far what I heard didn't trip my trigger.

Stream "Amused to Death" if you haven't done so already. You may even need to stream it a few times as I think it's one of those albums that grows with repeated listens. Some songs on that album were an instant like for me the first time I heard it while others took a lot more listens before I began to appreciate them.
If after listening you still don't think the album is right for you, then don't get it, cause this is not one of those albums where the surround mix could potentially change your mind.

I think you'll enjoy the Sinatras. Please let us know what you think of the Hall & Oates. I'm interested by that one.

Thrak Box Kitchen Sink Deluxe
BS&T S/T SACD

Not yet ordered, but probably will:

Nothing else, at this point, strikes me as a priority

You'll really enjoy the Blood, Sweat & Tears. It's one that I play at least once a week and I had not heard the album before owning this version.

Although my collection numbers over 20,000 titles, BS&T (2nd album) would be in my 10 favorite albums. I've owned it on 2ch LP as a new release. I already owned Child. I've also had it on Q8, 1/2 speed master, dbx LP, Japan CD, remastered/expanded CD, single-layer 2ch Columbia SACD, MoFi 2ch hybrid SACD and the AF 4.0. The AF 4.0 SACD transfer is the BEST way to listen to it.

Nice to hear that the last (so far) release offered something new and it was the best.

Is the song Spinning Wheel the only track edited differently in length than the original album on BS&T AF 4.0?

The older I am, the more I appreciate Sinatra. He's a little before my time, but my late dad was a big fan....so, thanks, dad.

In case you haven't had the chance to hear and/or acquire some of the Nat "King" Cole SACDs that were released a few years ago, you cannot go wrong with any of them. Analogue Productions released seven titles, 6 of which feature three track multichannel playback (it's great to hear Nat's voice isolated in the center channel). Audio Fidelity has two stunning SACDs in its catalog that are every bit as good as the Analogue Productions ones. The second one, The Christmas Song, is getting it's first worthy remastering in digital format and can be found at an incredible price (at the moment) here.

These are the sort of titles that once they've gone out of print will fetch high prices.
