I was just going to ask you about Nat....and as far as the Rush concert goes...I just can't go down that rabbit hole again..I've been burnt so many times by poor audio....let me know what Geddy's voice sounds like now

Yep, sure will. Well, I only have 1 Rush blu-ray, so I have a couple more rabbit holes left to burn. I mean, unless he absolutely sounds like OZZY on a bad day, I'll be happy. I think...

Speaking of bad voices....last night I was watching Guns/Roses live at...well...somewhere. My God.....talk about trashed voice...whoa. In my opinion, it was so bad it absolutely ruined the show. So, I can appreciate the concern over worn out voices. Not that Axl had the best voice, but on disc...you came to appreciate his screeching and croaking. Now he just bleats a bit....haha.

It's been a challenge to get my speakers where I want them. Ironically, my wife asked me yesterday when I was going to "hide the wires" lol
Not to mention, I'm still picking out coffee tables, wall treatments, curtains, etc.

I'm so lucky I don't have a wife! I can put my speakers (and whatever other equipment) wherever I like and am not answerable to anyone! Haha..

I'm waiting for more time to play all these damn boxes. Whew! Just finishing Thrak box and last night I opened the Premonitions box and it is also full of discs. Going to take a while. Such problems, and more boxes coming soon.

If you like warbles, quavers, yodels and squeaks you're good. Yet, there is NO accounting for taste. Their are fans out there praising Geddy's R40 vocals, "he still hits the high notes!"
Well, yeah, he mostly does. It LOTS of other notes, all over his range, that are the problem. And he begins many lines of singing now with this kind of glottal-shock, whiney-squeak that is like fingers nails on a chalk board for me. I hope he's pretty isolated in the center channel, with not a lot of instruments, 'cause then creating instrumental mixes is easy.

All that said, there are AWESOME moments of the R40 BD. It's a must if you're a fan, particularly of the classic stuff. Great mix.
