And just for fun....I'm bidding on an original pressing of Sabbath Vol 4.....if I get it...it will be fun to compare what I just bought compared to it.... good times.

How come it seems everything I bid on always manages to sell to someone else? OK, well, I had it down to the last 30 minutes then fell asleep. Woke up to finding out I had been outbid. I always feel like this is all a very shady practice.

So, now I'm waiting on this...

I felt that way the first couple of times I bid on Ebay items...until I learned what to do...I'll send you a PM with some concepts...

That works but the best way is to determine what your best price is and stick to it...don't let emotions suck you into a bidding war..

This is better than any sniper! fwiw I've been on there 16 years and its been a rule I've stuck by almost all of the time - know your limits - yes, that way "you win some, you lose some.." but I've only ever really stuck my neck out for things I thought I might not see come up again for long enough that I'd have moved onto another format (or worse still hobby!) by then.. and I've missed out on some cool things to be fair but everything has its price and I flatly refuse to go into triple figures for a glorified CD, I don't care how rare or 'special' it is.. and I've deliberated long and hard about just how badly I really want some stuff (take Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru/Psychic Killer Taromaru, an ultra obscure Japanese Sega Saturn game.. its not super incredibly rare, I have harder to find stuff in my collection, you can find 2 or 3 on eBay at any one time, which gives you some idea of its "supposed" rarity.. BUT the few people who have it and are looking to sell it invariably know what they have and will not part with it without getting 'the going rate', so I'm still looking almost 20 years later.. but no way is it worth $500 to me..) ..so we move on..

EDIT: Just checked and to give you an idea of what I mean, there are actually 6 copies of that game on eBay right now - more than I've ever seen copies of the Scorpions SACD come up over there - so that game is absolutely not rare.. but even the disc-only new listing without packaging is £195.00... and the other 5 listed range from $499.99 to a whopping $825.00... so you can see that short of me trekking over to Japan and finding one completely by chance its gonna be a tough call.. like so much stuff I've collected over the years I keep my hand in but have resigned myself to never actually owning a copy.. and this is repeated across several hobbies and formats.. ah well, if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be.. :D

I guess that should put the whole "it's too cheap and that's why they won't fill the order" conspiracy to rest:)

Now I know why it was probably so cheap... the disc just arrived in the mail. The envelope was flimsy and was practically ripped open. The disc case was literally in 100 pieces. I can't even get the disc out of the case. You have to contact them to REQUEST a return and their page says to attach the RETURN label, except one was not included. I am now waiting for a reply to my e-mail for return info. I was SO looking forward to this disc. Sorry, but I had to vent. :flame:smack::flame:smack:

Which disc are you talking about?

Sorry. Muscle Of Love by Alice Cooper. When I'm pissed and typing fast I tend to leave out some info. Was typing fast because I have to leave to pick my wife up from work.

Importcds doesn't have the greatest packaging..BUT..for this to be in that bad of shape something must have happened to it in transit...a friend of mine had one of her deliveries run over by the delivery vehicle:yikes and even the best packaging in the world can't save something like that happening...

Sounds like a scene from a Jim Carey movie...

And so, having RE-redisposed of the monster... (oh wait, that's for the Bugs Bunny site). OK, I got a response from ImportCD's concerning my bashed version of Muscle Of Love. I was informed that "you may return the item for a refund as we have been advised that returns are being refunded due to technical issues with processing replacements at our warehouse at this time." Don't know exactly what that means but it's going back.

I went to Bullmoose and ordered it from them (I should have listened to Clint in the first place :upthumb) and just to make myself feel better I also ordered Too Old To Rock & Roll by Jethro Tull. They both should ship tomorrow. :music

I think it's going to be a learning curve for you buying used vinyl:xp:

...Dream Weaver - Gary Wright (BS-2868)...

This guy was great - the 70s epitomized! I still remember watching him on Midnight Special:

Back then if you wanted a keytar, you sawed the keyboard off of your Minimoog and DIY'd that shit! :smokin

Have fun back in Vinyltown, GOS! You got me thinking about getting mine hooked up again...
