I preordered Steven Wilson's "4 1/2" Blu-Ray and Andy Jackson's "73 Days at Sea" from Burning Shed back in November, but today I have now added these three titles to my Burning Shed preorder queue:

-Anthony Phillips "Wise After the Event"
-Tony Banks "A Curious Feeling"
-Tony Banks "The Fugitive"

Besides that, the only other disc I have on preorder is "Hearts" by America (Audio Fidelity 4.0 SACD). Still not certain about "Spectrum" or "Thrust" yet, but there's still plenty of time to sway my mind one way or the other. :)

Thanks, Adam. I had looked on Discogs, but the 5.1 SACD won this round cause I could get it new for less than $30 from a third-party amazon seller. One day, I'll get the Quad SACD too, but for right now, I'll take the extra 1.1 channels. ;)

You're welcome :)
fwiw from a surround point of view I prefer the Machine Head DVD-A to the SACD Quad (I think I am in a minority of approximately 1 in that regard.. ..fidelity of the 5.1 is superior to the Quad imho and I like the newer mix approach.. but like I say not a commonly held view from what I can gather.. anyhoo, hope you enjoy it, that's what matters most of course.

Thrust's a great Quad mix I reckon (the Columbia quads by and large became more refined as time went on imho and were really riding high by this point..) and I'm expecting to be floored by Spectrum in Quad (musically it is very much my cup of finest malt..!) and for one thing at least this time we will get a real surround mix of Spectrum.. oh and not have the bulk of the drums lumped in the damned centre channel - lets face it Billy Cobham is a drummer par excellence (and then some) and thats why you buy his records primarily for an expansive sound of his wonderful drumming not have them all squished up in that torrid little centre channel..!! :D

Alice Cooper Muscle Of Love SACD
Steven Wilson 4 1/2 Blu Ray
Big Band Blu Ray

Ok, I just placed an order on Discogs.com for a factory sealed SACD of Jeff Beck's "Blow by Blow" (this version)
It's my first time ordering from Discogs.com but the user was selling it for around $20 (plus shipping), so I couldn't say no! :)

I've had only good experiences with discogs. I hope you enjoy the album!
Nice anti-shocker price.

Great to hear about Discogs. I'm streaming the album right now (in stereo) and I'm really enjoying it, so I'm sure I'll love the Quad SACD even more!
(Oh and yeah, that anti-shocker price was just too good to pass up!) :)

I'd agree about Discogs, I bought a Quad sleeved copy of Dylan's Desire which turned out to be a stereo LP in a Quad sleeve, and the seller refunded me straight away saying he should have checked the LP label.

This week - Steven Wilson - 4 1/2 bluray, and Steve Hackett - Premonitions (I've ummmed and ahhhed about this one for ages, and saw it at a very very good price that I couldn't resist :D)

Finally placed an online order for Wilson's 4 1/2 on Blu-Ray yesterday after calling my local music store about it: "We have one in order, but we can't guarantee it'll be here on the release date.. Let us give you a call when we do receive it.."

try that line on a crack addict.. :ugham:

I did the same - I mean to say, I finally placed order with Amazon last night. I'll have it Friday. It really is cheap, so I'm happy to buy it.

Your lucky being in the U.S. for this... :) Amazon.ca doesn't even sell it.. only third parties.. It was the same with The Raven.. BOO!! (n)

I've been billed for the new Billy Cobham "Spectrum" and Herbie Hancock "Thrust" SACDs so they're what I'm waiting for

Yeah - I admit I'm a little spoiled in that respect.... I'm pretty stoked to hear the new Wilson disc....I'm seeing a little extra effort to crank it and a nice glass of Cabernet circa 2012. :)

Alright, today I took the plunge and placed a bunch of pre-orders/orders:
AF SACDs: Spectrum, Hearts, Thrust
Steven Wison "4 1/2" Blu-ray
Anthrax "For All Kings" CD (not surround, but if it's anything like "Worship Music", should be fantastic!

Now that "4 1/2" and "Young Americans" have made their way to me today, I'm just waiting on Jeff Beck's "Blow by Blow" and America's "Hearts" to arrive. (Both are Multichannel SACDs.)

Then there are all these preorders from Burning Shed which should make their way to me over the next month or so. Can't wait! :)

Led Zeppelin How the West Was Won, two disc DVD Audio version, I know it has mixed reviews but couldn't resist:
