I picked up Carly Simon - No Secrets from Ebay of all places at a great price. Cleaned the record and sounds great.

BTW, sticker on the back shows "manufactured by RCA music service under license." Does this make any difference? If there was ever an album to truly test how quiet your CD-4 system is, this is it. I got it in the mail today and placed it immediately on the turntable. Sure, a couple of clicks and pops, but overall, pure joy! Thank you Sansui, Shure and the QRX Restore. Beautiful. I just got that one, too. But the SQ version.
Quincy Jones : "Body Heat" (CD-4)
Nice! I paid through-the-nose for my copy a few years back, but it sounds fantastic.

*Dave hates this one IINM, too much time spent working on it...i don't have the Q8 but i wouldn't imagine there'd be a world of difference?
certainly bits of the mix separate out in CD-4 with what i would call absolutely microscopic spillover that you'd never notice in regular listening, like the intro to Everything Must Change which has a short snip of total silence in all but one channel at one point, which the CD-4 also does, its quite remarkable how it wipes it all out everywhere else.. i guess that's about as discrete as you're ever going to get without playing the tape. there was a nice transfer floating about i think its one Dave or Tab or someone of that ilk maybe did through a modified Fostex or something?
yes! the seller did great! came from Japan in about 4 days, customs etc handled by them, no extra hassle, really well packaged as you say. if it wasn't for the snap and crackles i'd be bodypopping all over the room working up some serious body heat!!
