Do I listen to it all?

Yes, it all gets listened to for sure.. it takes time since there's more to life than just music (heresy I know! ) but I get around to everything eventually.

Do I paper the walls with it?

No, I'm more an emulsion on bare plaster kinda guy

oh and I forgot to answer one of your questions, namely re:quad pre-orders back in the day (early-mid-70's).

Well I don't think preorders existed, at least not in my neck of the woods.You had to check the record store quad bins for new issues, and also Schwann Record and tape guides (monthly listings).When it was listed in Schwann....it was soon to be in the stores.
