I did check CDJapan, but with shipping, it wasn't as good a deal as these guys on eBay, which roughly converted to about £25 all in.

There are some other examples on eBay for about £38, which come from the UK. Looks like I'll have to raise my max. price :(

Ideally, from what I've heard, the DVD-A is the one to go for, primarily for the extra content, but they're as rare as rocking horse shit, so an SACD is fine. Bottom line, I just want to hear this fine musical work in my favourite method of listening :)

screw the SACD! there's a reason the DVD-A's still so sought after and the SACD goes for £25!

I was a tad disappointed with the SACD, don't own the DVD-A. I'd still buy it if you can....think cdjapan will be your best bet ? At least you're not going to be messed around that way.

he won't get messed around, I've just given him a dead cert pointer to the DVD-A at an acceptable price ;)

think of it as being free, since you got the refund on the SACD! :p

the DVDA's better anyway, its got the juicy band chat extra.. and lets not get started on the sound...

True :)

I've never been a fan of long distance shopping. I had some bad experiences many years ago with Region 1 DVD's, and now this. But CDJapan are reputable, that's for sure. But then I was assured BlowItOutaHere were too :(

BlowItOutaHere are good! I've bought loads off them! They refunded you no quibble, so that says a lot.. and I believe they acted in good faith and genuinely hoped it'd still get to you. Hassle? yes.. alright outcome? yes! ;)

Well, I expressly asked them to send me another copy and told them I didn't want a refund. So what did they do? Refunded me, with no explanation and they've flat out ignored all my messages on eBay and via email asking for them to explain why they refunded me. Yes, I know I've got my money back, but it's not what I asked for. Had they come back to me and said, "Sorry, we don't have any more copies" or "We don't want to risk sending another and have it get lost too", then I'd be happier, but zero communication sucks in my book :)

oo-er! what would my husband say!? :p

do you really want to get the DVD-A? what if you shell out for it and then think its still a bit bollocks?

That's what puts me off....don't get me wrong....I do like the disc....love the music...don't think the mix is bad...just wanted that " Goldilocks & The Three Bears " feeling...." It was just right ! " ;)

fair enough. I guess you won't be using them again! that's a major stumbling block with these big corps, they're all about volume and less about the bells and whistles of customer service!

I probably will, mainly because they seem to have good stock and prices and many people seem to rate them. But I will be wary! ;)

I think you were pretty unlucky (some rascal who intercepted the package is probably sitting listening to your Rumours SACD in CD-quality stereo and wondering what all the fuss is about!?!?) .. I'd say its worth giving BlowItOutaHere another shot some day.

As if by magic, I just got a (albeit brief) reply!

Basically, when international orders get lost, they automatically issue a refund. They've invited me to place another order. Which I won't, because I've just ordered the DVD-A version instead :)

I've never had any un-resolvable issues with BlowItOutaHere....usually good prices too.

Someone might want to add this absolute bargain to their collection for £33/€39/$52...
