Nat King Cole-The Nat King Cole Story SACD...this one...I was intrigued by this album...I am familiar with some of his hit songs...but not his full catalog of music...I'm only on song 9 of disc 1 and this thing is incredible...sound quality is off the charts...so warm...so analog...this song I'm listening to right now is Calypso Blues and it demonstrates Cole's wide range of musical talent...if you like his music this 2 disc set is a must...or if you were like me and curious...get it...you will appreciate this man's talent and great voice..by keeping the background music simplistic it leaves plenty of space on the recording for his voice...it makes this 3 channel presentation appear to have a greater soundstage that a 3 channel disc should have...it's a chance for you to fall in love with your center channel again:cool:

That's great to hear. Actually, I love Nat King Cole because it brings back memories of my dad laying on the floor of the family room...listening to Nat LP's on our old Zenith console stereo. Man....just for that reason alone, I have a soft spot in my heart for his music.

I would also like to know how it sounds...I've often wanted some Blondie...even though this is newer material and not their killer older stuff.

The mix is good..... and discrete & sounds fine....

For me the content isn't so great... I do like the Good Boys track though....

In the last few days:

1. Nat King Cole - The Nat King Cole Story (What a great job that was done on this project.. I don't regret for a second the $64 and change that I spent on this. Anyone who's on the fence about this one, don't take too much longer or the prices are going to get stupid on it.

2. The Pretenders - Learning To Crawl (haven't listened yet)

3. Blood, Sweat & Tears - Child Is Father To The Man (haven't listened yet)

The Pretenders is stereo...but I think you will like it:cool: I love that Nat King Cole set...sounds like vinyl without the pops and crackles..
