I'd just call you fearless...must be those New Zealand winters:spot
Fearless - no - that's a Kane album in 5.1:

Not bad too!!! Don't take my word for it - ask Fredblue.....

The Pretenders is stereo...but I think you will like it:cool: I love that Nat King Cole set...sounds like vinyl without the pops and crackles..

Yeah, wrong forum for the Pretenders disc, but I'll mention instead:

Yes - Relayer (DVD-A). Another fine job from Mr. Wilson. For whatever reason though, I had a bitch of a time getting my Marantz player to accept it. After inserting it for about the 20th time, it finally took.

There is a picture of it in color inside the package.

Well, maybe that's the trick to these new dvd-audio disks. I'll have to give that a try.

This one is sounding really good! It is placing very high on my list for one of the best sounding surround purchases of the year. Just incredible stuff...so happy I didn't pass on this one. :)

I feel the same way. I sat back during the first listen and felt like I was listening to an E. Scheiner mix. After all this time, this album's definitely been given a whole new life. Can't wait for the second album, and the Guess Who disc.

I had a similar experience with the XTC Nonsuch DVD-A, though not as bad.
So did I but I didn't try loading 20 times so sold it for a loss and purchased the Blu-ray.
I'd guess there's some sort of heavy copy protection on the newer dvd-audio disks that players need to be modified for to play (firmware update). So if your player no longer gets firmware updates there are problems.

Yeah, I haven't updated mine since I bought it 6 years ago - long overdue.
