You're probably right, the Who logo has the same colours...

From Richard Evans' post yesterday at thewho.com:
'There will be no Record Store Day release from The Who this year. We have The Who With Orchestra Live at Wembley coming out at the end of March and Universal will be promoting that. There will also be more of the Abbey Road Half-Speed Masters series due out too. And of course the Who's Next | Life House super deluxe edition which is scheduled for later this year. It's all done and is in production being pressed and printed as we speak.'

While waiting for the upcoming Who's Next/Life House Atmos mix, I held a little The Who surround party this weekend, with the Criterion blu-ray of Quadrophenia from 2012. As fans might be aware, Criterion at that time got hold of first-generation sources from the band's archive and Alan Sallabank remixed the songs from the film soundtrack in 5.1 specially for the blu-ray. It was such a success and impressed Pete Townsend so much, he subsequently got the Quadrophenia album remixed by Rob Pridden and Richard Whittaker for the short-lived HFPA-series (before SDE revived it again last year). Tremendous film, tremendous album. The Who's Next/Life House release is by far my most anticipated album purchase this year!

And I vote for your above blurb as the QQ Understatement Of The Year. LOL

I've prepped myself to shell out the big bucks for the big box. So, they'd better include the Atmos mix and not make it an exclusive to the streaming services. Doing so would be the QQ Outrage Of The Year Century.

It would be the Crime Of The Century, and not by just a little bit!

Reminds me of a similar crime, but that was Yesterday and yesterday’s gone.

Any one think that 'Classic' one by Supertramp will ever be released as a 5.1 or 4.0 surround?
Considering how much blood there is between the various X members of Supertramp, I very much doubt it.

I did take a shot in the dark by emailing the original producer, Ken Scott. Never heard back, of course.

I remember reading an interview or two where Ken seemed really enthusiastic in mixing the band into surround..

Of course that would depend on if the band can get their stuff together and agree on something. Judging by the Paris fiasco it seems unlikely, but fingers crossed.

Somebody over on the other forum who appears to be connected to the band just had this to say:

Steven Wilson only did the Atmos mix. I never heard anything about a 5.1. A Blu Ray of the Atmos is not something I heard about, I’d be surprised. If there were it would also include the aforementioned stereo but it would be as mastered by JA at 192/24. Ain’t nobody no-how gonna see that flat 384/24 but the Who camp.
