Received the 1st 3 quickly - still waiting on Paranoid...tracking shows maybe next week. Man I must say listing to Jefferson Starship Miracles just once is addicting and I keep playing it in my head....ever feel that with a song? enjoy! these mixes are amazing!

Rhino US. I didn’t realize they had a Canadian storefront. Oops. I ordered the day they were released - not sure if they were available on the Canadian site on day 1. I’ll have to check that out with the next batch!
Same here, didn't know the Warner Canada store had them. However they only stock Paranoid and B$B (which are the ones I wanted anyway) and the release date was July 7. Also Rhino won't let you cancel an order (what's up with that?). If Warner Canada have the ones I want in the next batch I'm definitely going that route. Even with the delayed release date their shipping is super quick as opposed to Rhino's UPS Innovations Priority Mail, which seems to be a total misnomer.

Anyone from Canada, who ordered from Rhino, get their discs yet? Mine seem to have fallen into a void called "international carrier" somewhere in Canada. They've been at that tracking status for a week now.
Haven't got mine...or even a shipping/tracking notice yet (Peterborough ON). But I did manage to get a reply from customer service that they were shipped on June 28th, so I hope not too much longer...It's funny how SDE and Vocalion can get discs to me within a week from the UK, but Rhino have estimated up to 8 weeks in the reply I got.

Mine shipped on the 27th. I'll post when they arrive as yours should (hopefully) arrive shortly after. I also received that 8 week estimate... ridiculous.

Also placed a DV order on June 28, it shipped on the 29th, and arrived on July 10. Pretty darn quick from the UK. And their shipping is cheaper than Rhino!

I'm not trying to make every post I have in this thread a complaint, but I find it amazing that I have received only the paranoids I ordered and none of the other 6 discs I ordered and I am in the USA. Sure I'm on the east coast, but how is it im seeing tons of people in EUROPE and other places have their complete order and I am in the same country.......

Nothing here yet.

"Shipment Delivered to USPS, Package Acceptance Pending
LOS ANGELES, CA, United States"

Been like this since first week of July. "Package Acceptance Pending" what does that mean?

I don't think it means anything....I had several shipments for clothes from a reputable vendor....and I had that message for several days.....only to have the shipment show up with no further updates.

I dont know why but my Denon amp doesnt output any music from the right rear speakers, only the right. It only happens with these quad 4.0 discs
It's a known bug with a bad chip that made its way into a lot of hardware. Your only options are new equipment or (much cheaper!) ripping the discs and adding empty center and LFE channels.

Funny thing is on my older Denon amp with even older bluray players and connected with only optical cables everything is fine. On the other one player is connected with HDMI which can play in 192 hz so I dont know what the problem might be.
The older gear had no issues with 4.0 quad; it's the chipset in newer AVRs that no longer know how to process 4.0 files via HDMI. The file has to be at least 5.0 to play in surround. Your 4.0 files from all of these Rhino Quadio discs will only be heard in 2.0 stereo because that is how the 4.0 is being interpreted.

Which Denon models are you referring to? Anything latter day (after 2011) is almost certainly not going to have analog (6CH IN) inputs and the player you have (which model?) likely lacks the analog outputs to feed an AVR's external input.

As suggested, the material can be augmented with a silent channel (or two) to fool the modern chipset. That would be discussed elsewhere.

I think information about the new Rhino Quadios should be included in the Wikipedia pages - I wasn't successful in adding a 1 sentence description about the Paranoid Quadio so I've given up trying to edit Wikipedia pages.

Maybe working with some Wikipedia Administrators from the beginning of the editing/addition process for these 4 Quadios would be helpful in getting to info to stay on the Wikipedia Pages.

Just my 2 cents...

That or a potential change in playback hardware.
With an Oppo 203 and a Pioneer lx500 linked with HDMI to a Denon AVC-A1HD no surround on the right back channel, front and left back channels play fine, this happens if players output in HDMI Auto or bitstream, if I choose PCM output via HDMI they play beautifully in 192 4.0 surround.
On my older Denon amp AVC-A11XV with Sony 790 bluray player no problems at all with coaxial cable and bitstream, here not at 192 but at 48.

I could be wrong but I think 'HDMI Auto' or 'bitstream' is reliant on AVR decoding (the problem) to respond appropriately in figuring out what to do with the signal, whereas PCM is sending the 4 channels as intended audio not requiring any decoding to occur in the AVR. So go with PCM mode then.

Maybe an option I don't know but can u try using from player to avr the coax or toslink for instead of HDMI connection????

Just a thought!

I thought Rhino’s customer service couldn’t get any worse, but I was wrong.

I sent a request two days ago since I have not heard one word after I ordered the bundle the day it was available for order. My card was charged the same day. No info on shipping, no update on my order status, no discs received.
So far no reply from Rhino to my request. I jumped when I saw an email from Rhino just now. Then I read the text:

…………..
Hello [shakti]

We'd love to hear what you think of our customer service. Please take a moment to answer one simple question by clicking either link below:

How would you rate the support you received?

Good, I'm satisfied

Bad, I'm unsatisfied

Here's a reminder of what this request was about:
……..

So, they take the time to send out a quest back to rate the customer service, of which I have received exactly…none!!??This is so bad it’s almost comical.. except it’s not funny. 5 more days and I am filing a claim with my credit card provider.

This looks like an automated email that was timed to appear so many days after your order was placed, assuming the order had been fulfilled. There is probably no internal referencing to your actual order or it's status.

The OP mentioned that: "On my older Denon amp AVC-A11XV with Sony 790 bluray player no problems at all with coaxial cable and bitstream, here not at 192 but at 48."

Yes, I understood it was probably an automated reply. But it refers to my request which I sent two days ago about not receiving any product, shipping info or order status, so it’s undeniably adding insult to injury in this situation even though I obviously understand it’s an auto reply thing.

I see your context; if linked to your incoming inquiry specifically that was a feeble move on their part.
