WHOEVER guesses ALL 4 QUADIO releases correctly should win a trip to the Magic KingdomWell I'm hoping the 2 Warner titles to have at least James Taylor-Gorilla or Sabbath Paranoid .
Atlantic?....well maybe Black Oak Arkansas Raunch N Roll , or
Street Party (unreleased) or James Gang Miami.
And the Grunt ....Jefferson Starship , Red Octopus or Jefferson Airplane Bark.
GREAT list, Fizzy but unless the Eagles have changed their stance on having their former QUAD titles released ... they're sadly off the table!WEA also have a lot of announced but not released quads such as 3 on Bearsville.....Todd Rundgren Initiation and Foghat Energized, Rock and Roll Outlaws...
Leo Sayer Another Year , Uriah Heep Return To Fantasy on Atlantic , Deep Purple Burn , Black Sabbath Sabotage on WB , Gordon Lightfoot-
Gord's Gold on Reprise , Carly Simon Another Passenger on Electra ,
Asylum label had The Eagles The Eagles and Desperado.
And 3 or 4 we managed to find out about in the past decade, Van Morrison -Hard-nosed The Highway , Ry Cooder , Stanley Clarke and maybe Neil Young's Time Fades Away
Who told you that?...unless the Eagles have changed their stance on having their former QUAD titles released ... they're sadly off the table!
It was posted on previous QQ forum threads, Jonathan. Supposedly they had NO interest in having their previous QUAD masters released. WHY...remains a mystery since they'd sell out like hotcakes!Who told you that?

I read that somewhere but surprisingly the Eagles HAVE been well represented in Surround and their Hell Freezes Over DTS CD remains an all time FAV.Oh.... I did not know that.
So kinda like Van Morrison 's stance ?
Perhaps ForagingRhino can put this to rest .... would love to know myself! Does seem strange since their Surround output over the years has been quite prolific ..........Posted by who? Where on the forum? I'm only trying to ascertain if this is valid information...
So Sabotage was released as a quad? That would be my wish. I like every Sab album up to and including Mob Rules but my favorites are S/T, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and Sabotage. So Sabotage would be huge for me.Now that Sabbath has been clarified ....
Those 2 Warner Brothers disc's could be ;
Black Sabbath Paranoid and Sabotage
Oh ok ...I was just on the Rhino site and they have some ELP , namely Works and a later Live At the RAH album.
So .......that's why I asked.
Only Paranoid was released in quad. Sabotage was supposedly announced in a Schwann or Harrison tape catalog, and even assigned a catalog #, but it was never issued on quad LP or tape.So Sabotage was released as a quad? That would be my wish. I like every Sab album up to and including Mob Rules but my favorites are S/T, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and Sabotage. So Sabotage would be huge for me.
Jon, I did read somewhere they refused to sign off on releasing any future QUADs ......or else one would think there'd be an EAGLES QUADIO box set by now. There was talk in Sound/Vision that in 2007 Elliot Scheiner was in LA remixing their NEW album ...... but did that one pan out:I don't remember reading anything about the Eagles Band being opposed to quad reissues. In fact, they not only have been surround friendly in the past, they have also been product friendly. Time will tell I guess. Are there Atmos mixes out there of their early albums?

Hoping ForagingRhino will put this to rest and if I am mistaken ..... I apologize! I personally could not conceive why they wouldn't want all those extraordinary early QUADs and possibly "Long Road to Eden' released...especially with the current SOTA digital technology!I was hoping for a 5.1 of "Long Road to Eden" back when it came out, since they released it themselves and ES was right there to do it. In fact, I would bet he did it anyway and it's just sitting somewhere on a rack, or maybe on a DVD-A in ES's car!

IMO, an EAGLES QUADIO/5.1 box set would sell out in seconds!
edit: I did PM ForagingRhino and asked that he settle this issue. Stay tuned!
