"Share the Land" is one of my favorite albums, and a mainstay of my freshman year college dorm playlist. (And that was only stereo)

I have the Japanese CD-4 version of Share the Land. The stereo version was the second LP I ever bought … sandwiched between CCR Cosmos Factory and Led Zeppelin II.

Actually the Share the Land/American Woman had to already be in manufacturing when the Best of Vol. 2 came out in order for it to be available so soon. Still, it's a great set of titles for sure.
Then the "Road Food" / "#10" two-fer must have done well enough to do more of The GH. How does that sound?

(I went back and edited my original post)

Snood thinks I've been missing out not buying any Canadian band music.🤔 But I tell him I bought Mahogany Rush's Maxoom and Strange Universe on release ("72 & 75" Vinyl). Oh and wife has a Nickleback CD so we are good I'd say.
Just ordered DV title of The Guess Who for research purposes through Amazon this time again, last DV (Firebird) came in a flimsy corrugated mailer with damage.

I'm thrilled with the Indian Res album and even more so over the unreleased (hopefully different than the Robin Reel) Hard & Heavy. I mentioned this release to Mr. Mark over Fishbook tonight. A man famously of few words, but I did prod for a little info and got this reply:

Shame he's not a fan. But, as the creator of this work - I can understand why. They should have at least tried to get his input. I mean, the album was mixed to Quad by Al Lawrence and Larry Keyes - two parts of the Holy Trinity of Quad. If they'd have had the Big Cat himself in the mixing room with them, I think a good Quad album could've been a GREAT Quad album.

Had there been no quad mix, there would have been no SACD of these two albums at all. And the albums been virtually forgotten. Mark Lindsay should count his blessings and lucky stars that they did in fact do a couple of quad mixes of his act’s albums.

This month’s batch of SACD titles represents something of a musical cornucopia, taking in everything from the easy-listening sound of Ray Conniff and the lush sonorities of film music legends Miklós Rózsa, Erich Korngold and Max Steiner, to the relaxed vocal style of country music giant Charlie Rich, and the gritty grooves of Canadian rockers The Guess Who and West Coast psych-pop pioneers Paul Revere and the Raiders. And as if that were not enough diversity, the mercurial Artur Rubinstein is featured in his landmark 1975 recording of Beethoven’s Fifth Piano Concerto.

I ordered six of the seven. Experience has taught me to order in even numbers in order to minimize the chance of jewel case damage.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned, but the Charles Gerthardt "Spellbound" release includes a bonus track remixed by Michael Dutton from the multi-tracks.

"BONUS TRACK
From THE SPECTACULAR WORLD OF CLASSIC FILM SCORES LP RL 42005 (1977) STEREO/REMIXED IN QUADRAPHONIC from the original analogue multi-track tapes by Michael J. Dutton
10: Julius Caesar (Rózsa)
Overture"

I feel like Michael Dutton must also be a Rózsa fan, between this release and https://www.duttonvocalion.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=CDLK4590, which is also entirely a new mix from Michael Dutton: https://www.quadraphonicquad.com/fo...rózsa-miklos-rózsa-conducts-rózsa-sacd.22969/
