I got my "Muscle of Love" deluxe edition sets delivered today. Shipping w/ tracking number was sent 9 days after ordering, and then delivered 10 days after ordering. So I am still seeing an average of 10 days to get a shipping notice from 'Narlywood as I had previously mentioned. But delayed shipping w/ tracking notice does not mean that the package is not moving along through the system.

This is consistent with my previous experiences. If this sounds completely unacceptable then I would wait 3 months (or whenever it shows up at other online stores) and order from Deep Discount or Amazon, etc. then you will get the tracking number much sooner. I mean.... that is if it doesn't all sell out first, as it is a fairly limited edition item in both of the two formats being offered.

Btw, the LP sets were each packed in their own sturdy outer boxes and were fully protected at corners. I'm quite happy with the packing and shipping with delivery. And I know I'm going to like the Alternate album, and the remastered stellar quad mix as well.

The quad sound is awesome. I love the woodwind choir on Crazy Little Child. The title track is exceptional, with great depth. The backing track moves in and around (and behind) the soundstage, with the leads floating above and driving to the center. This is one of the best Quad mixes In the Quadio series. Sonic bliss.
Anyone seen a "Spotlight" poll created yet on this new BD issue of Alice's MOL?
Sometimes I don't find them anywhere on the list list of polls, but it comes up in other areas of the forums, I guess.

Nice to see longtime Rhino stalwarts Bill Inglot and Brian Kehew (more recently of 'Master Tape Rescue' fame) involved with the mixing of the outtakes on this set.

The only thing the fancy-schmancy booklet in this set doesn't have is a picture of the quad master tape - any chance of dropping a picture here, @ForagingRhino ?

My BD/CD box just arrived, a plastic bag revealed a white card box which was almost impossible to open, great protection though for the "main event" inside. Slightly unhappy about the shipping cost to here in the UK, it's about time Rhino had a UK distributor.

I listened to the album on YouTube or somewhere and was unimpressed. Nevertheless in need of retail therapy I ordered the thing.

It has arrived, and it is absolutely superb. The packaging is whacky but who cares when the music is so good?

I canna find a Spotlight poll but I have my 10 waiting for when one shows up.

Like many an album, the quad bumps up the quality of the listening experience. A B+ album can become an A. I’ve always liked the album but the quad brings out more of the the subtle production touches nicely. And this mastering I prefer over the AF.
