from thedigitalbits.com:

And for those of you who missed Koch/Plaion’s fantastic German 4K Ultra HD ultimate box set of David Lynch’s Dune (1984), the company is re-releasing it in standard packaging, featuring the restored film on UHD and Blu-ray, plus 4 additional BDs (the Extended TV Version, the Spicediver Cut, and 2 discs of extras including the extended The Sleeper Must Awaken documentary), and a soundtrack CD. That’s all of the disc-based content (7 discs) minus the swag. Street date is 10/26. Note that the Blu-rays in this package will be Region B locked, so you must have an all-region capable player to review them. You can pre-order the release here (or by clicking on the image below) on Amazon DE.

From DISNEY and director James Gunn GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Volume III [Japanese Import has both Native UHD4K and 3D versions which US version omits]

https://ultrahd.highdefdigest.com/121532/guardiansofthegalaxyvol34kbluray3dimport.html
And yes, you will be paying a premium for the 3D BD~V ...... currently, $40 more than AmazonUS' Native UHD4K disc + s/h from Japan!
My sister gave me the 3D versions of the first two. Maybe she’ll feel the need to spring for this one, too.

The Double Life of Veronique (1991) 4K:

1. New 4K scan/colour fix-up/Dolby Vision looks superb. Detail and colours are pristine. Gone is all the colour-banding from the previous BD (which is also included in this 2-disc set). Well worth the upgrade says I.

2. Audio is the same DTS-MA 5.1 from the BD. It's OK. Nothing spectacular happening in the surrounds.

3. An efficient little flick with some understated freakiness going on. I got this one which you can also get from the US and UK stores: The Double Life of Veronique 4K UHD + Blu-Ray : Amazon.com.au: Movies & TV Price has gone mental since then but it might drop again.

I adore this movie, and I agree: the 4K edition looks absolutely fantastic!

Last night I cracked open my COLUMBIA CLASSICS VOLUME III box set and watched SONY'S brilliant Native UHD 4K restoration of the director's cut of director Peter Bogdanovich's 1971 classic THE LAST PICTURE SHOW.

Sony has lavished this restoration with HDR10 and Dolby Vision and cinematographer Robert Surtees exceptional Black & White lensing in a 1:85:1 format has never looked better.

Of course the performances from all involved including the debut of Cybill Shepherd and Academy Award recipients Cloris Leachman and Ben Johnson [for BEST supporting roles] captured the futility of life in a small dusty Texas Town during the time of the Korean Conflict thousands of miles away.

Jeff Bridges, Timothy Bottoms, Ellen Burstyn and Eileen Brennan's exceptional performances only serve to enhance Bogdanovich's metaphor for
a rural America that has not only lost its moral compass but a yearning to break free from the restraints of a stifling past which has sadly passed them by.

The final shot of the local movie theater which has sadly shuttered its doors and had been the only source of entertainment in this bleak dying town completes Bogdanovich's vision of a scenario encompassing many small towns across America at the time. Change was afoot and the only means of survival would be to move on.

The Rockabilly score in DTS~HD MA Mono underscores the director's vision admirably. I played it in all channel Stereo and recommend it be played that way.

Criterion will also be releasing a Native UHD4K version and will couple it with the not as successful sequel TEXASVILLE.

Three Colours Trilogy 4K:

1. I got this one cheap - hopefully the price will drop again to something sensible: https://www.amazon.com.au/Colours-Trilogy-Curzon-Collection-Blu-Ray/dp/B0BSHD2541

2. Superb 4K scan/restoration/colours/resolution. Dolby Vision. There's an extra on the extras disc about the colours that's worth a look.

3. DTS-MA 5.1 but there ain't that much happening in the surrounds. Some surprising lows though. Fidelity is fine throughout.

4. I hadn't seen these since the 90's days of VHS. Great flicks and worth the purchase.
