The first input amplifier is completed!

...too tired to test it tonight

Believe it or not, it was cheaper to buy already assembled Chinese relay module than buying the relays alone.
Cool indeed. But I only see one relay. What does the board actually switch & how does it do it?

Hey nowadays a man has to get his thrills where he can. Who am I to judge? Now back to my vast collection of shoehorn’s.......

Today's techno-porn
First almost finished mk-II control board.
You know I have to proceed with caution assembling the first one as i must check, test and validate every aspect of it.
So far everything is up to my expectations.
still waiting for those gold plated connector pins... 😶:)

Hi all!
A little setback today.
I found out a major error on the latest version of the comparator modules.
I do not know how i did it but i managed to have the wrong pinout for the LM393 8 pin dip ic.
6 out of 8 pins were wrong...o_O
Since all 60 purple pcbs were already made, i had to find a cheap solution.
A new adapter pcb was ordered today to patch the problem.

These pcbs will be soldered on the defective comparator pcbs to correct the defect.
Luckily there is only one LM393 ic on each board.
cost: only about 1$ per pcb.

So finally the real damage is only few weeks manufacture delay. :)

Otherwise, everything is on track! :LB

I have some pictures to show you.
This is the first prototype of the mk-III model.

This is a temporary setup. The buttons will be different, plexyglass window and handles will be added and the mounting screws will be black steel torx type. The Red pcbs are the prototypes. The purple ones will be used as soon as i receive the patch pcbs.
Enjoy!

📙📙📙📘 First mk-III videos.
This is the first time a hooked it to a sound system.
I uploaded very short videos showing the surround LEDs (the blue ones on this colour scheme) and the effect of the OL9 function which switch the sub signal from the surrounding (blue) LEDs to all channels.

I discovered the input amplifiers are clipping. That is why you do not see a very dynamic result.
I will solve this little problem quickly by reducing the gain.
Enjoy!
