Well, ladies and gents, the deluge continues!

After the recent announcement of "Damnation", now I just found out from an amazon.de listing that "Too Old to Rock and Roll, Too Young to Die!" will be released in the 2CD/2DVD deluxe edition format at the end of November!

Time to smash open my piggy bank once and for all!

This is just insane! Definitely need a higher paying job....

Thanks RT! Do you have an Amazon link pls.?

I think I have a dedicated "closet" that will house all my surround music....long since put my DVD's & CD's in crates in the basement...no room.

We will need dedicated closets for just the Jethro Tull box sets

Just think about this.
If we are definitely getting "Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll…" this Fall and it's not even the 40th anniversary year yet, what's the chances given how quickly they have been spitting out these deluxe editions since late 2013 (with "Benefit") that we'll have the deluxe edition of "Songs from the Wood" out sometime in Spring/Summer 2016? Oh goodness, I can't wait for that one! (and "Heavy Horses" too) :)

Man, they are REALLY cranking out these remixed and expanded editions now! Besides the (now) forthcoming release of "Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll..." this November, now an SHTV user said they just interviewed Ian Anderson, who confirmed that Steven Wilson has already begun remixing "Songs from the Wood"! Maybe a Spring/Summer 2016 release is possible after all! That deserves a banana, right Snood? :)

I guess it's no big surprise that SftW is getting done but it's still wonderful to hear that it's coming. Love that album!

So great to have all the TULL in surround! I would still like STAND UP ! it has some great stuff on it ! Must have been passed over for a reason?

The UK preorder for the new set of "Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll" is up, but I don't think the release date is correct on there as the single disc CD is still showing a release date of November 27, which sounds right to me given that we have not heard anything yet about this release from the Jethro Tull camp at all.
I'm also not posting the track listing here as it's somewhat confusing without a guide to show what all the different mixes and sections of the set are, but there are definitely alternate versions of some of the album tracks included, along with these bonus cuts: "Salamander's Rag Time", "Commercial Traveller", "A Small Cigar", "Strip Cartoon", and an early version of "One Brown Mouse".

Who is with me in hoping/predicting that the "Songs from the Wood" deluxe edition (probably out late next year) will include a bonus CD and DVD of the Golders Green Hippodrome performance from February 1977 that was broadcast on BBC TV? Its inclusion will be a nice way to fill out that set. :)

I would be very happy with that for sure, but as it's one of my top JT albums I suspect I'm going to be pretty happy with it no matter what they include!

What are the possibilities of The Witches Promise getting upmixed to 5.1 via Penteo for the Stand Up release, I do wonder...

Not likely I would think for two reasons. It's not a "Stand Up" era track, and it wasn't included in a proper album's track sequence.
