I hear you but that was a legacy quad mix whereas these days people are shooting for Dolby Atmos.Compared to Paranoid where the instrumentation is plethoric yet we have a multichannel mix
EDIT: Don’t forget “This Was”

I believe Steve has said there are currently no plans for another Joni Quadio box. Here's hoping that changes.Seeing there's no other place to post this news, the stereo (so NOT Quadio) new Asylum box set from 1976-1980 has started shipping from ImportCds. It contains 5 CDs:
HEJIRA (1976), DON JUAN’S RECKLESS DAUGHTER (1977), MINGUS (1979), and the 2CD live album SHADOWS AND LIGHT (1980)
As I said this is NOT a new Quadio release just the stereo CDs being shipped now (but maybe the Quadios are not far behind?) Here's a link for those who may have missed it:

Yeah, I'm sure she's busy as hell, lending a hand down at Gnarlywood packing up, labeling and shipping out these little beauties to us folksSo I received my Joni Mitchell set today. I noticed the senders address:. So is Joni sending these out of her house or office....or uhhh????
Understandable, given that there were no quad releases of any of those albums in the 70s. Did Steve also rule out streaming Atmos mixes of these albums though? That would certainly be better than nothing...I believe Steve has said there are currently no plans for another Joni Quadio box. Here's hoping that changes.
Apparently there's some chatter on a different site about that possibility. I can't speak to its veracity, though. I was intrigued by that, too. Haven't been able to independently locate any such gossip at The Digital Bits, though--or anywhere else on the interwebs.Apparently there's some chatter on a different site about that possibility. I can't speak to its veracity, though. (I'm referencing this post.)
Yep. I can visualize it. She's boppin around, packing stuff up at her kitchen table.... It must be quite taxing for her.Yeah, I'm sure she's busy as hell, lending a hand down at Gnarlywood packing up, labeling and shipping out these little beauties to us folks
I noticed that too. They also did that with a few other releases. I can’t remember off the top of my head but I think I had something shipped from Van Morrison and WarSo I received my Joni Mitchell set today. I noticed the senders address:. It would all start with the mixes being done obviously. The question is what exactly was mixed in atmos at those sessions two years ago and what if anything has been done since. To me it's crazy to think they'd stop with only the first four.Understandable, given that there were no quad releases of any of those albums in the 70s. Did Steve also rule out streaming Atmos mixes of these albums though? That would certainly be better than nothing...
I will say that I attempted to look for such chatter yesterday and couldn't find any of it.Apparently there's some chatter on a different site about that possibility. I can't speak to its veracity, though. (I'm referencing this post.)
