Bocephus King -
The Infinite & The Autogrill Vol.1

As much as I like the artist this album, his latest, is a bit off track to my ears. Many songs are more commercial than normal and his vocals seem kinda forced.
Still a very good album, with great lyrics, just not his best IMO.
Great title and album cover.

Eleanor McEvoy - Stuff

An odds and ends release so it doesn’t necessarily feel like an ‘album’ but lots of good tracks here. Hard not to like her.

Elton John - One Night Only

Live album from 2000 that somehow slipped through my “everything by Elton John” collection.
Performances are fine and sound is good for a live recording the only problem being the gritty cymbals.
Edit: the duets are variable, Kiki Dee doesn’t project that well, Anastasia’s sneering Saturday Night is just OK, Mary J. Blige is very good.

Alanis Morissette -
Such Pretty Forks in the Road

Her latest album, really revealing in talking about personal issues she’s dealt with in recent years.
Fairly low key but in a good way.
Nemesis is a great track once it starts rolling.

Bocephus King & Flophouse Jr. - Lula

Really like this disc but hard to describe.
Lo-Fi-ish mix of electronica and Americana?

Me And That Man, Songs Of Love And Death [2017]

The vibe is a Nick Cave vocals meets Danzig atmosphere. I am really quite digging it.
I am not familiar with John Porter but like his vocals and will have to check out some of his own catalog.

Eleanor McEvoy - Naked Music

Appropriate title, it’s just her and her guitar on all of these songs. Per usual very nice sound.

Eleanor McEvoy - If You Leave…

Another solid album from this excellent Irish artist (yes, I’m on an Eleanor binge LOL).
She is known for good sound on her albums and that continues here for the most part but inexplicably tracks 1, 5 & 12 sound compressed, pinched and grainy.
