Nosound - Afterthoughts

kscope245-mockup.jpg

I've been on a bit of a Nosound binge. I'd gotten most of the discs because they were Kscope, had Chris Maitland or Tim Bowness or even because they were 5.1 mixes included...seemed like stuff I'd like and should have. Funny though that it didn't click right away...but now it did and I'm so glad I bought the discs. It's sort of like P Tree meets no-man and given the connections that's not a big surprise I suppose.

First listen of my newly acquired Johnny Mathis First Time Ever...DTS-CD 5.1...and it's superb!..Special thanks to Ralphie(aka 4-earredwonder) for recommending this disc....and Gos...you need to track down a copy of this...it's classic Mathis...the guy could be singing about receiving his electric bill in the mail and it would be epic....he has that it...like Sinatra did...and a few others...there aren't many voices that have stood the test of time like his voice...

hehe - I think I do have it. I mean, I have some DTS of Mathis....the name escapes me. It's the one where he's wearing a goofy hat on the front.

..and its not even his best Quad.. ;)

Well, 'best' was probably a poor choice of word!
My two favourite Quads of his are 1973's "I'm Coming Home" (with Quad mix by the incredible Thom Bell, no less..) and 1975's "When Will I See You Again".

Adam, when can we reasonably expect some High Quality DVD~A 4.0 'needledrops' of The Mathis Collection on the "Blue" Label?:ugham:

Heh, Heh. Easier to petition Dutton Vocalion to access the original QUAD masters and do it for us!
