Two excellent Pentatone Remastered Classics (quad SACD):

Giuliani, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Villa-Lobos - Guitar Concertos
Rodrigo - Assorted guitar works featuring the celebrated Concerto de Aranjuez which was reinterpreted by Miles Davis (Sketches of Spain) and Chick Corea (Spain) as well as many others

Now playing: "Warrior on the Edge of Time" by Hawkwind.
Probably my least favorite of Steven Wilson's Remixes, but I'm playing it right now to honor Lemmy after his passing yesterday.

Porcupine Tree Anesthetize dvd. Is halflight the best song ever? Man I love that song done live onthis dvd.

It's very good, but to me, the highlights on "Anesthetize" would have to be the live renditions of the three "Signify" tracks, along with "Drown With Me". :)

Yes excellent to. I just ordered the dvd /cd version of thisjust to get the music for my ipod.

I bought the redbook edition (limited to 1,000 copies) when it was first announced for preorder back in 2010. Worth every cent, and from that time, I have collected all of the other book editions for Steven Wilson's solo albums with Blu-Ray. :)

Revisiting some of my favorite 5.1 and Quad releases of 2015 today, starting with the recently reacquired "Blood, Sweat & Tears" Quad SACD from Audio Fidelity, one of their finest Quad releases IMO. :)

I might outta spin mine tonight, miraculously and finally delivered by Errmerrzerrn. IMO, CiFttM is my favorite AF SACD of this series, so far. Looking forward to how the S/T stacks up.

The best way I can describe the differences between the two BS&T SACDs is this:
"Child is Father to the Man" has a better surround mix, while "Blood, Sweat & Tears" has better material, but both are tied in terms of fidelity. :)

Sounds like a win/win to me. I like the songs from CiFttM just fine. From the S/T I really like "Variation on a Theme," but can't remember a whole lot else quite yet (only heard the album a couple times).

Everything on the 2nd album is great IMO with the possible exception of "And When I Die". "Blues - Part II" also has its moments, but occasionally it's too much of a musical exercise in indulgence for my tastes. Everything else on the album however is just about as perfect as it can be for me. :)

Not sure if this is the right thread...nor do I even know if I'm saying this right....but I'm listening to...
