Jellyfish "Spilt Milk" Specweb Upmix... WOW! I bought this CD to make an upmix for a friend (so I heard it for the first time tonight, in surround) and this is incredible stuff... not only does it separate beautifully in surround, but the music is amazing on it's own; this album sounds like it was recorded with the craftmanship of "Sgt. Pepper's", but has echoes of bands throughout the classic rock genre such as The Beatles, Beach Boys, Supertramp, Steely Dan, (Pink Floyd?) and others, all interwoven into a psychedellic art-pop masterpiece... I can't believe I've never heard this before...

You pretty much summed up why this is my all-time favorite album.

All of my surroundings from the master "FRANKENZAPPA"

played as much as I could through the evening.BTW Roxy And Elsewhere should have a poll thread, it's actually a pretty good surround mix I think.

David Gilmour Live in Gdansk DVD DD 5.1. Playing Echoes, one if my favourite versions. Anyone besides me miss Rick Wright?

Oh, I definitely miss Rick. Given his untimely death two years after the "On An Island" tour, it makes me all the more grateful that David included him, especially since the two of them are really the ones who have defined the Pink Floyd sound. Songs like "Wearing the Inside Out" and (especially) "Echoes" hold so much more meaning and significance now that Rick has died. The version of "Echoes" on Gdansk is probably the best that it was ever played, so I'm glad they were able to resurrect that song as a showcase for just how well David and Rick play together. :)

I remember an interview with David after Rick's passing, and he said there was some music he wouldn't be able to play again without Rick. As part of that, do you know if he plays Echoes on his present tour, or do you think that's one of the songs now that's off limits for DG?
