such a great album, i do wish the Quad was upto the standard of just about any of the other Santana studio album Quads, apart from "Festival" which is also a bit of a wonky donkey rather than a party piñata!

Amigos is a great album musically. The Quad mix is atrocious!! Bought the SQ first day it was out. Also bought it on CD when it dropped. IMHO, 2ch mix is a better experience.
Amigos and Festival are both great music. Quad mixes are massively disappointing!! Especially sad after so many great Santana Quad mixes.

QL, in that case, SONY should transfer the multi tracks of BOTH albums to Michael J. Dutton so that he could remix them. He's done some fine discrete remixing in the past and no doubt it would probably be better than what's contained on the older Columbia QUAD mixes!

Judy Collins COLORS OF THE DAY [Elektra Records/AF QUAD SACD remaster] From her earliest days as a recording artist on the audiophile Vanguard Records label to her stint at Elektra, Miss Collins has aways possessed impeccable taste! Although this compilation embraces songs from the likes of Leonard Cohen, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and two Collins originals, which themselves are exquisite, I'm quite thrilled that AF saw fit to release this stunning and beautifully remastered SACD.

It's also available from Acoustic Sounds in their 4 SACD box set BLOODLINES which I was able to get for about $60 sealed from ImportCD some years ago. Always good to have a back~up!
