Hey?! Be nice.

I was only stating that, yes, there is still good sounding music today as on the Chicago disc. You only have to look harder to find it. He made it sound like there was none at all. Please don't be mean to me because I have an opinion. You know, opinions are like A-holes. Everyone has one. ;)

I'm not mad or mean:) but calling Chicago II "new music" is out there...it was recorded in 1970!..hehe..the great thing about the older music from the 60's and 70's is that every once in a while I stumble across some of that music that I never heard before...or that it is being refreshed again and it brings it back to me...I've found a lot of "refreshed" music the last 2 years that I love...that's the great thing about this hobby...

I'd like to teach the world to sing.. (but there's no point since they invented auto-tune!) :D

I've always got friends and work colleagues taking the piss out of me saying stuff like "the music industry didn't cease to exist 20 years ago, ya know".. or "oh wow! a song on your iPod that came out this century!?" etc..

I accept my musical tastes are largely stuck in the past compared to some of you guys here.. but there was so much great music 60's thru 90's, it's hard not to remain entrenched in it all at the expense of new music.. though I do admit that even in 'the good old days' for every Donny Hathaway there was a Donny Osmond.. Black Sabbath never had as many hits as Black Lace.. in other words I can't say all new stuff is garbage compared to the old stuff, there's always been lousy music in every era and I just don't know enough about new music to pass judgement as I've way too much 'old stuff' to listen to.

I'm a totally 70s freak.
Never better productions before or after that period.
It is warm, it has punch.
Some records of the 70s are timeless.
And no other decade can beat it!

Amen!

Nowadays you can find pearls, but you have to search in the right forums or sites.

I'm addicted to progessive rock and the best site for it is Babyblaue....even better than every english site I know. :)

So, now I can have a good dream.

Good night. :)

It's all good bro.......yeah...we all have opinions. :)

I hear you, not exactly opera, but if only we could bring back Fritz Wunderlich for an all new surround version of Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde. What a voice.

I hear YOU as well. :D

Speaking of Mahler in surround, this M8 by Stenz is a must for Mahler/Surround fans. Stenz's whole Mahler cycle offers excellent sound, but this one is particularly immersive. The rear channels are discrete and really help open this massive work's soundstage.

Very Highly Recommended!
