Took me a while to rip my SACD as it was 2 discs and that seemed to confuse the tagging issue. But, I'm persistent....

Be sure to let Foobar make 88.2 flacs instead of 44.1 flacs from the sacd/dsd/iso. You can choose this under preferenses under sacd in foobar. To keep the Hi-rez from the sacd. You may already done this, but I thought your kbps was a little low on the songs.

And I am really sorry if this means you have to tag them again @:

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. I don't mind redoing it. Only way to learn.

I just checked mine and actually it was set to 176400. NO clue if I should leave it or change it. There are other settings in that window I'm clueless what they should be. Settings are as follows currently...

ASIO Driver mode = DSD
PCM Volumn =- +6db
PCM Samplerate = 88200
DSD2PCM MOde = Multistage Floating Point
Preferable Area = Multichannel

Be careful with the PCM Volume you may get clipping at +6db.

SACD have variable peak levels - check with the Dynamic Range Meter plugin, and set your volume to be less than the peak value.

Listening to the new "Beck, Bogert & Appice" SACD that just arrived here in TN, courtesy of the wonderful Simon A!
Overall, I like the way this SACD sounds, even though the fidelity is not quite up to par with "Blow by Blow".
I'm gonna have to do a comparison of the SACD to a copy of the DTSCD I downloaded several months ago to see if there really is a big improvement in fidelity.

We shall see! :)

Do you listen as quad like origionally intended or in 5.1, doubling up on the center and sub?

I believe now that these 5.1 mixes are the original quads in the four corners and added sounds in the center and lfe channels, is that your take on them?

2 Beatles tracks I just mixed from the 4 track masters; WALHFMF, and SPLHCB.

not sure but I just shut the Centre off with these Quad things that have faux Centre & LFE (Ship Ahoy, 3+3, Blow By Blow, Jasmine Nightdreams, etc...) not downmix back into Front L&R just knock it out the equation altogether, shouldn't be there in the first place and is totally unnecessary imho

Given the gravity and depravity of the American election Ima listening to Roger Waters' "Amused to Death" all day on repeat.

"What God wants God gets God help us all"

Should be 'What Wall St wants Wall St gets'.

So many musicians selling out. Shame on Springsteen but lets leave it at that.
