R.E.M Document. DVD-A 5.1 Advanced Resolution PCM 96Khz. On screen menu with lyrics, pictures, etc.
Really pisses me off when all these new BD's come with NOTHING. The fucked up music company's are losing me as a Blu Ray music listener.

Agree.

I know the "Shulman Brothers " seem to be the only ones putting out ample or comparable BD material.

Love what they did with Aqualung on BD , and creative art and menus on their GG discs. Some on QQ don't appreciate their work, but not this happy camper.

Oh, GG's TPATG art is outta this world but...well, I'll leave it there....

So sad this morning that I had to open the Badmotorfinger box. What an insane box! The spinning badmotorfinger logo wheel on the front puts it over the top.
Soundgarden - Live at the Paramount DVD-V DTS 5.1

Eagles Hotel California 40th Anniversary box set. Blu Ray DTS-HD Master 96Khz. The surround is extremely balanced, meaning not a lot of movement between front and rears, but at same time very discrete. I am also feeling the fade is too much toward the rears. The sonic quality is very nice, kind of soft like.
I will have to listen to my DVD-A for comparison but there is something about this mix that’s bugging me. Maybe I’ll figure it out ? I’m confused with my opinion. Was it worth $89.00 when I already own the other surround version? Probably not.

FWIW,

The local retailer has it for..................... $140.00 !! Yow. Add 14%tax to that , and I see it's 96/24......but the stereo is 192/24 ?

Instant --No Purchase for me . I'll stick with my DVDA . :D

But I can't help but feel very sorry for anyone who missed out on that DVDA and are left with this Box.

Thanks to this fantabulous forum I was introduced to the incredible, audiophile grade music of Djabe which I'm been spinning all night [MLP DVD~A 5.1] and I finally came across my misplaced BD~A of Alan Parson's mix of DSOTM and with all I've read about this disc going bad [again due to the posters at QQ], I spun it and thankfully, it's fine.:)

Djabe opening up their own easy peasy lemon squeezy to use-y as you please-y webshop is a marvellous development in our little surround music world!

straight from their own site (so hopefully that means more of the money goes into their pockets!?) I just ordered all the DVD-Audios of Djabe that I couldn't/didn't get over the years.. what a bumper lot to come! way-hay! :party

Merry Quadmass! Here's your Hungarian Rhapsody (pass the Ghoulash..) :smokin

here's a now sadly stupid ass expensive ass old out of print ass SACD I'm a-listenin' to now in $urround $ound...

..I wish somebody would reissue it fresh from the Quad tapes onto a shiny wee disc (a 2-fer with the Tale Spinnin' Quad while they're at it would be twice, nay four times as amazeballs!)

Weather Reports' "Mysterious Traveller" :smokin

the mix is blowing of the mind! :nuke

Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band "The Phat Pack" DD DVD- I couldn't find a forum entry for this one... phantastic surround mix and fidelity (and it's Dolby Digital!) I like the music overall better than the "XXL" album (and that one's great too!) Highly recommended discrete big band/jazz music:banana:

Well, I think I'll just rock out to some Quad, as well.

Incredible mix fwiw, a bit of a quad demo too.:smokin

Aerosmith-Rocks SQ Quad (and one o them thair convertibles).

Feel like "I'm Up The Spout " with all this quad listening lately !! :yikes

Sitting here listening to Djabe Life is a journey feeling sort of numb, without this forum I probably would not of even heard of them let alone having three of their albums with more to come, where else would I have heard of Dutton Vocalion as another source of quality material. Yes financially I will probably be better off but I just know I am going to be missing many future opportunities to learn of artists I would never have considered trying without the recommendations from here.:(

Djabe's "Message From The Road" & "Life Is A Journey" arrived on Friday. I have "Take On" already. Djabe are a great band I listened to "Message From The Road" a nice immersive live album, Life is probably on tomorrow's play list. I wouldn't have discovered them without QQ either - plus a load more other good artists, it is the music which comes first with me, then the surround mix.

SO glad you took the Djabe plunge, Adam. I hope you LOVE them as much as I do. Some of the most eclectic surround music on the planet and these discs are really audiophile grade. Do watch some of the videos which accompany these dual discs.

And SPREAD the WORD. These Hungarian cats sure know how to boogie.:banana::banana:
