Serge Gainsbourg - Histoire de Melody Nelson (BD-A)
Turns out that the sound levels are pretty uneven here - main vocal in the centre, some orchestra or choir parts in the rears... also, not the best sonic quality. But it still does it for me as a whole, easily. Really glad to own this - it's an album, y'know?

Je t'aime.. Je t'aime!
(Oh hang on, that's the wrong record! :ugham:

Love me some Donna Summer:spot

Same! Love La Donna Gaines! So sad she is no longer with us :(

Sad too surround has not been kind to her.. though "I Feel Love" pans out nicely in PLII (as does quite a lot of her Casablanca classic output imho).... it also pans out nicely on the dance floor! DOOF DOOF AROOGA DOOF!

I seem to like Ronald Prent stuff :)

If they could only remember the LFE.. (isn't this one of those 5.0 discs?)

I've never had a sub... But just as rtbluray said, the lows are nothing short here. Also, my current set-up utilizes 5 tower speakers plus two shelf speakers on the sides, so that could compensate this a bit, too.

What's on disc 2, Marek? I don't remember making it that far!

This set seems to be a handful, right? :) I really do want to give the 2nd part a spin, but it won't be easy to locate the disc, as I remember I've sent my spare copy off to Russia, mistakenly consisting of two identical discs... Got that straight eventually and the disc came back alright as well - damn, the sound quality (production?) elevated towards the end of disc 1 so remarkably!
