I’m completely on board with that. Sounds awesome!Although not part of the Quadio series, the recent Machine Head box set does show a willingness to put both quad and other surround/immersive mixes on the same release. I hope that "Quadio" can graduate to become a marketing term rather than simply a series of single-artist box sets and standalone releases, such that other albums with both classic quad and modern multichannel mixes can get a single, definitive Blu-ray release. I'd also be up for single- and multi-artist compilations (see: the recent The Best of the Doors Atmos Blu-ray, or the Audio Fidelity "Collection" SACDs).
Doesn’t the menu/packaging also refer to that quad mix *as* Quadio? I recall seeing someone say that.Although not part of the Quadio series, the recent Machine Head box set does show a willingness to put both quad and other surround/immersive mixes on the same release. maybe MH is/was destined to be a standalone Quadio at some point..Although not part of the Quadio series, the recent Machine Head box set does show a willingness to put both quad and other surround/immersive mixes on the same release. Yes, they used "Quadio" in the marketing when referring to the quad mix.Doesn’t the menu/packaging also refer to that quad mix *as* Quadio? I recall seeing someone say that.
Every artist should have a compilation/greatest hits/best of in surround! (Well, if they have enough hits to do that. )Although not part of the Quadio series, the recent Machine Head box set does show a willingness to put both quad and other surround/immersive mixes on the same release. History records The Collection got lukewarm reviews in the poll here, with some speculating it had poor sales & killed the Audio Fidelity quad SACD series.Rhino could do what it always did well; a compilation disc a la the AF Collection release. A box set of the best songs and mixes. Dream on…….
The Collection plus the Bob Dylan concert…History records The Collection got lukewarm reviews in the poll here, with some speculating it had poor sales & killed the Audio Fidelity quad SACD series.
Licensing individual surround tracks from multiple artists seems like a "clusterpluck, " as the bluegrass boys say, though maybe the current streaming environment may be more conducive.

If anyone wishes to repent & change his vote after eight years, amnesty has been declared.
[Though some clown may double down and give it a 5. ]

It's a no brainier for me. Instant buy. But then again I will buy any Quadio boxMe too! Carly is my preference among those names.
According to @quicksrt , there is no way Carly is the upcoming box set..It's a no brainier for me. Instant buy. But then again I will by any Quadio box
After not yet even hearing the Doobies in quad, you decided the set was not worth it?I love Carly, but most of my listening is in stereo, and I have all her early albums on SACD and/or Gold disc or DVD Audio.
I’d have to really talk myself into a Carly set.
(as an example I bought the Doobies set despite having all the albums on SACD. For me, after listening to the ho-hum sound in stereo, it was a waste of money).

It probably isn't for just the stereo. The magic is in the QuadsAfter not yet even hearing the Doobies in quad, you decided the set was not worth it?
