Pretty exciting releases, actually. I've never heard Roots, or Live At Fillmore West, so surely will be a treat to own these. Of course, I ordered all 4 and picked up Devo's Freedom Of Choice vinyl to get free shipping.
Aretha's Live At Fillmore West was issued as a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab CD in 1985, a part of their silver pressed (not gold) in Japan discs. That is a fantastic sounding release of the stereo mix. Well, it is the only version of the album I had previously heard. Drums, guitars, and horns are all beautifully recorded. Anytime MFSL did an album back in the day I took notice and expected strong recording and production values. It seemed to me at the time like a seal of approval.

Thanks FR for the Foghat info... I had a feeling that was the case (no quad available) or it would have been targeted because it had two pretty big hits on it with the title track and of course Slow Ride.

If you check the Schwann "new quad release" thread From August 1975 , you will see 2 Foghats , Energized and Rock And Roll Outlaws .
It's in this section and contains many of the Warners unreleased.

As to Foghat ...only Energized exists.

It's too bad really as I always thought Fool For The City would've made a great quad album .

We need pictures- now how cool is that. I don't know why I am so excited about this foursome. I have surround music up the XXX, I would think this would be just another, but really grabbing me.

I am so very happy, all 4 arrived today, plus I added Muscle of Love. I have the Audio Fidelity version and I originally passed but the QQ Poll reviews said the new Rhino was better than the old AF, so I bought it.
Tonight I rip these 5 and tomorrow I listen, this will be great.

Good to hear of quick shipping AND swift arrivals of these new items. Hope it holds for now and the longer term.

Mine are "out for delivery" going to have to book some quality couch time tonight!

Edit: delivered at 10:53AM... and here I am at the office...

I really need to bring back the desk stereo. But make it quad :)

Mine arrived today. Won't have a chance to listen closely today, but am happy they are here. One thing I did notice, the inlay for both the Aretha and Curtis have artist photos rather than pictures of past releases. The Spinner and Billy Cobham have the pics of batch #6.

Seems like Rhino’s finally on top of the shipping as I received mine Thursday. Sat down and listened to them yesterday- can’t believe how good they sound. Could’ve been recorded yesterday. Amazing job Foraging! Already looking forward to batch 8!
