Just wondered what the first SDE Surround Series Atmos blu-ray announcement will be for 2025...

I hope you are Watching as it could start with a ...Bang, but If You Let Me Stay following that, I'd Break it Down Again and offer some Advice for the Young at Heart, then again, it could leave us All Revved Up With No Place to Go or it could just leave you wanting More, and on that note, I'll say Goodbye Stranger.

What's your best guess at the next announcement title?

Either of these and I would be happy 🤔😄

I haven't heard about any Atmos versions of the first 2 albums, are they coming in Atmos? Not a fan without Greg Lake.

This showed up in the tail end of 2022, and currently of the list, Larks’ has shown up (along with Red, not listed). It sure sounds like Wake is due for one at some point.

In The Court of The Crimson King has one since 2020, locked inside the insanely big and expensive “The Complete 1969 Recordings” box set, a 26 disc + artbook set. I’ve been hoping that one gets a more… streamlined… re-release in the same 2-3CD 1-2BR sets that the recent Atmos re-releases have been getting.

At the moment however, if you’re willing to shell out the dough for that 1969 set, you can get Court, Larks, and Red all in Atmos.

I really want Elemental and especially Raoul & the Kings of Spain from TFF but not holding my breath as Steven Wilson is going on tour soon (remix). I know the entire Bjork catalog is being remixed for Atmos, supposedly in a box set and individual discs. No release date. Pink Floyd The Wall is a possibility (Atmos). But Rush was supposed to do "something big" for their 50th Anniversary last year, according to producer Terry Brown, but whether it was surrounding their first album reissue or another type of boxed set, he didn't know. What also passed us by is the 40th Anniversary of Grace Under Pressure. I hope they wise up and stop box-locking the Blu-Rays.

  • Moby: Play
So many textures... but something tells me its production is baked in ways that wouldn't work. Others know better and I'd be ecstatic to be wrong.
Actually Moby's Play has an unreleased 5.1 mix that was destined for DVD-Audio, so this one is probably possible.

Lizard is a glittering gem of menace that could sound spectacular in Atmos, and I'm very curious to hear what Steven Wilson will do with The Devil's Triangle in Atmos given the source limitations. Along with the Atmos mix of ITCOTCK, I expect these to be definitive releases of the early albums.
