Ah, OK. So a genuine repair then. I was just wondering if the shop offered some sort of "tuneup" and what was involved in that.
I have two older Oppo's boxed up but although I don't use it often, my 103 continues to function well. As you say, knock on wood!

When I bought the UDP-205, I found the closest pre-amp match for it was the all-analogue and XLR Parasound HALO P7 (which also had bass management and pass through). It was a nice bonus to see that my Oz seller had forgotten to upgrade his website's price, so I got it for about $1200 less than it should've been.
