I survived a near fatal motorcycle accident with TBD. Took 10 months of PT to regain my balance to walk again, so I got the brain damage part hopefully out of the way......LOL

Post #6096:I cannot tell where Boonie is relative to the expected track. I hope he is okay !!!
Id think he is still pretty close to the track but I would surmise he is east of the track. Man, one freaky right turn by this hurricane,,,,Post #6096:

Edit: Mandrix would never wish it on anyone but it looks like mainly hitting the Big Bend area & minimal to him. Minimal is pretty relative in a hurricane.
Holy crap:Id think he is still pretty close to the track but I would surmise he is east of the track. Man, one freaky right turn by this hurricane,,,,
prayers for Boonie and all in Florida - and Georgia
It was on our local station... the drama queen approach is not helpful in these situations...just a local yokel trying to practice amateur psychology...the local newscasters didn't come out and say anything but you could tell they realized how stupid it was...Holy crap:
Emergency managers in Taylor County, Florida, are not messing around.
The officials, who oversee low-lying towns including Steinhatchee and Perry, posted on Facebook Thursday afternoon to ask all residents who chose not to evacuate to grab a permanent marker and write their name and date of birth on their leg.
The unspoken message: You will not survive this. Help us identify you.
If you or someone you know chose not to evacuate, PLEASE write your, Name, birthday and important information on your arm or leg in A PERMANENT MARKER so that you can be identified and family notified.
Taylor County Sheriff's Office - Division of Emergency Management via Facebook
Officials also asked friends and relatives of people who did not evacuate to reach out and share the information, so search and rescue teams know where to focus their efforts when the storm passes.

That is a huge storm, we've seen weather maps of the US over here and you don't really get the scale of the storm until you see that ISS footage! This is a picture of the storm from the international space station...at the 2:00 mark you can see how BIG this storm is
Generally speaking, he lives 1 hour north east of Perry, Florida...which took it on the chin.Hey gang, while I don't have any specific information from @mandrix, based on what I read on the web, his area was slammed pretty hard. Let's pray he's OK, and he didn't sustain too much damage to his property.

Seems like we’re seeing way too many Storms of the Century in this century. Helene was devastating taking over 89+ lives and causing billions in property damage and because so many insurance companies have pulled out of Florida leaving so many Floridians WITHOUT IT!Lets hope so, we have seen the devastation on the UK news
