In the July/August Sound & Vision:

THERE IS A PICTURE OF A SONY SQ-2020 DECODER!!!

Yes, no kidding!!

THe article is called QUAD REVISITED by David Ranada

He speaks of buying the decoder and some SQ LPs on eBay, recording them to his hard drive, denoising them in Cool Edit Pro 2.0, burning CDs then playing them through the decoder!

Gee, my kind of guy!

He also finds out about the Sony and "pumping". Too bad he did not get a Tate.

If he had an email address, I would have invited him here.

Check it out on page 29

THere is another great surround article on page 35. The author here (Mike Mettler) writes about surround in the car, and how DVD-A should really take off on four wheels. He goes through some DVD-As and comments on the mix.
He even mentions the TUSK DVD-A, and how the producer of that album is finishing the DVD-A mix.

In the tracking surround page (106), there is some in depth discussion on the Queen titles, along with some classical SACDs.
