Very cool. A big regret of mine is not taking the time to see one of his Iridium shows….I just kinda thought he’d be playing there forever…That is exceptionally cool!
Nice tribute: an innovator of multitrack recording & electric guitar.
I visited his grave & had a drink at Club 400 in Waukesha once. RIP.
Yes!! So glad they reunited. And todays delivery is the new album from Beardfish - Songs For Beating Hearts. Limited transparent orange vinyl with a signed card.

I once ran into Robert Plant at the Waterloo on Lamar St. I try to go there every time I'm in Austin. You can find some great deals, if you look. I found a first pressing of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida there for $8. Not just the first pressing, but the withdrawn pressing with the early mix.Was at Waterloo Records in Austin yesterday. Wore the original one out in the late 70's...it's been long gone. Found this 3 record set in the bargain bin, unopened. $10 ! ! View attachment 110939
I had one of my turntables suffer move damage that I didn’t discover until over a year later. It’s being replaced. but my other, four-speed table needs a bit of TLC from me.Welp, I knew it was coming, this morning my Marantz 6300, gave up and now can't control the platter speed. Lasted approx 1 yr after coming out of a 40+ yr storage.......
Don't know if it's worth repairing vs replacement.
After the full refurbishment of my 9001, I am not sure which is the right way to go???????
I did what my limit knowledge allowed me to do. Removed the platter and cleaned the spindle well with a Q-Tip & alcohol, put 2 drops of oil in and wiped the spindle with my oily finger. Then turned it over and removed the cover and gave the caps a visual once over. Nothing looked burned or leaking. I have no idea what controls the motor speed.I had one of my turntables suffer move damage that I didn’t discover until over a year later. Like I need the projects.
yeah- Robert lived here for a couple years while he was dating Patty Griffin. He was pretty accessible then. Waterloo is a great, iconic store here in Austin....still love going in there.I

I'm planning on dropping about $2k on my new turntable - I'm trying to get one that will play CD-4s. I went there ( https://www.thestereoshoppe.com/ ) with my decoder, and absolutely no signal came out of the decoder. It's all analog electronics, so it ought to be repairable, but, again, like I need the project.I did what my limit knowledge allowed me to do. I certainly got my monies worth out of the Marantz but ofcourse I could never just throw it out.
I have found that AT has the under $1K turntable market pretty well covered.
Really surprised at all the plastic used on tables now, unless I look at the out of my price range tables, 2K and up
Social Security check arrives next Wednesday, Its my monthly play money
