I have the original Columbia two eye of this one somewhere, but this Sundazed reissue will do nicely.

Just bought a cheap turntable and I'm revisting my old vinyl collection. May even clean some soon. But some have deffo been abused too much to be revived to any great degree.

Anyway this sounds great. So vibrant.

Probably the most important album of my life.

I bought a few before this but it was in a misdirected way. This was the first album I loved, the first band I loved, and was a gateway to hard rock, heavy metal and a love of music that has stayed with me for 46yrs and counting.

First record I ever bought when I was 8 or 9 years old and I still have it.

Starting going through my old collection so time for A.

Alot of my stuff stick. And (you'll hit me) I often forced the needle through back in the old days! You can see the damage and ironically they mostly still stick there! But back in the 80s they were more a disposable thing. It was do that or don't play them

So far this one is the best one I've played. Haven't heard a scratch on first 3 tracks. And what a band they were back then. Loved Back in Black too.... but Bon was it. And I got bored after For Those About To Rock.

Your starting with A got me curious which was first in my library. I’m starting over, so I don’t have all the vinyl from my youth. Probably would have been Back in Black.

Today, though, the first artist is Akkerman... as in Jan Akkerman (original guitarist of Focus) and his 75 solo work best-of. Last is ZZ Top and Eliminator.

Getting tuned-up for some playoff football
Digging out some old vinyl, makes me really appreciate Rhino's Quadio lineup played thru an Oppo........lol

Before I bought a turntable again, a friend had convinced me that albums would make some good wall art in my home office. This was about 5-7 years ago. The very first one I bought was Rising. Such a great cover, not to mention the music itself.

I had this at one time back in my first phase of vinyl purchases, but I gave away or sold so much of my collection I lost this one. I think it is their best. I really like the Bon era. Brian Johnson, although a super nice guy, just doesn't do it for me.

I bought Straight Between the Eyes on its release, but never went back and listened to the Dio stuff, even though I also had Holy Diver on vinyl. Finally about 6 years ago a client recommended this album. He was a HUGE all-things Ritchie Blackmore fan. I remember sitting in Houston traffic listening to "Stargazer" and my mouth was open. WHAT A BAND! Cozy Powell is one of my favorite drummers, so the fist 15 second had me hooked. Love it!

Take two with this album. I had a version that was put out, I believe, by the Back to Black label.

That version had a double-whammy of unpardonable sins: the stylus got stuck on a favorite song... during the guitar solo. (Goodbye Stranger)

I had originally avoided a MoFi version because of the cost, but it played nicely just now and didn’t get stuck.

Some of you may know of Mystery vocalist Benoit David from his brief time in Yes, but he should have stayed with Mystery. I can recommend this album without hesitation. Just fantastic even for those who aren't big into prog.

As some of you know, I am my mom's caretaker. I just can't stand the thought of putting her into a home even though she can barely see. Well, even she enjoyed this album. She tolerates my music while I am cooking.

More power to ya. Not everyone would take that step with a parent. It says a lot about your character.
