As we draw closer to the release of my new album 'The Harmony Codex', I thought I'd share with you the synth set up I used for making it. There’s still a lot of guitars, drums, bass and other instrumentation on the album of course, but many of the songs started off exploring ideas on this setup based around a Sequential Prophet VI, Moog Sub 37, Atonus 2600 (a clone of the classic ARP 2600 modular synthesiser, purchased from Matt Berry after he got himself a vintage one), and several virtual instruments running on a laptop.

he just teases about the new album, yet he hasn't made any official announcement (release date, available formats, artwork, etc...)

I'm fairly giddy about the possibilities of this new one.

Seems like working with this old synth. gear would provide Steven with a whole world of artistic expression that he'd otherwise wouldn't have gotten from his more typical guitar work. Sort of like giving a painter 100 more colors to work with, after only having maybe 20. So, I'm excited for him as well.

And of course with his always immaculate mixing and mastering skills, how could it be anything other than glorious!

Expected to come out when was it, September?

Love the Synths, rather better than my Korg Monologue!

And as I also love Reel-to-Reels. that looks like a Revox B77 but what is the machine above it? I was wondering if it was a Grundig?
