Ain't no way the Giants are going to beat the Steelers unless the latter suffers a key injury(s).

Now, can someone tell me why two lousy football teams, the Giants and the Jets, keep getting these prime time slots? Yes, I know that it is only October, but it is over for both of these NY teams already.
They aren't flex games. They have to play what's on the schedule. When the schedule was drawn up, there were a lot of Jets expectations.

That's a lot of Love there.

Go Steelers !!

btw: Leafs 4-4-1 play the 8-0 Jets tonight.

N.B.

In the ENTIRE history of the NFL, teams that scored more than 20 points, had no turnovers and held the other team to under 250 yards, are 750 - 1. The one team to lose is the NY Jets. It happened yesterday.

I'm beginning to believe that Joe Namath did indeed make a deal with the devil for that win in Super Bowl III.

(@LuvMyQuad , your quote in my signature below was related to what would happen if the Jets lost to the Patriots yesterday. Indeed they did...in historic fashion.)

Well we could say they are setting records. ;)

The NY press must be livid. This last loss is worse than most of the others. Surely Woody is going to fire someone.

As it stands the Bills have a 4 game lead in the division and have head to head victories against the Jets and the Dolphins. The Bills winning the division looks like a certainty. I thought this might be a down year for Buffalo. I just never thought the Jets and Fins would be even further down. 🫢

GB doesn't need a 'lame' Love at QB. We have Malik Willis who is playing great.
I think the Packers will rest Love this week....not that it's going to make much difference against the Lions. They are a 3-3.5 point favorite.
Seems low to me🤔

AR Surround.. Things could be worse for the Jets. They could have been the team to lose to Washington rather than the Bears!😮
I saw a brief interview with the Bears HC, he said they practiced against the Hail Mary play a 100 times & know what to do. Really?
I did notice they rushed more than 2 guys, which was good, but nobody got to Daniels. He had a long time to run around back there....

Id prefer the Lions to play a healthy Packers team. BUT - Malik IS INDEED playing very well. The Lions are due for a bad game. Its the law of statistics and the law says its time. Theyve not had a down game since week 2

I'm puzzled...you think it would be embarrassing to lose to Washington? They are 6-2...the same record as the Packers....their QB is one of the best QB's in the NFL as a rookie...he's setting completion percentage records..

As far as the Bears defensive alignment on the Hail Mary defense...it was a poor strategy...they deployed 4 players but only 3 attempted to rush the QB,,,that gave the offense 6 men to block 3 players...2 offensive linemen to block each defender...he could have ran around all day...usually most defensive schemes go with 5 defenders to actually put pressure on the QB...the 4 players might have worked but the 4th Chicago defender never attempted to rush the QB...he was a spy that moved every time the QB moved...he was supposed to stop him from running...which was not going to happen anyway...the QB didn't have time to run..but he did have time to throw a 12 or 13 yard pass so the WR could go out of bounds and stop the clock....and he did as no defender was there to stop him...without that uncontested pass play he couldn't even attempt a Hail Mary pass...that made it possible to throw a 64 yard pass..

What most coaches and analysts have a problem with is the statement by the Bears coach...he downplayed the importance of that pass before the Hail Mary pass...without that completed pass there wouldn't have been a pass to the endzone...it was too far from the endzone....his background is defense and to make a statement like that is a head scratcher..to say the least...

The Niners have an excellent chance to win the division....you have to think of it as a 9 game schedule now...they play each of the other division teams once before the season ends...2 of those games are at home...a lot of teams are banged up now and have lost key players...the advantage the Niners have is they have a deep roster and they have a chance to get some key players back...other teams don't have that luxury...they have to survive with second or third tier players...

I'd be concerned if I was you....right now the Lions are by far the most explosive team in the NFL...my concern is that the ideal situation is for a team to start peaking toward the end of the season...you don't want to be another Dallas...wining 12 games in the regular season and then falling flat in the playoffs...I have to admit watching the highlights of the Lions is refreshing...they aren't just winning games...they are having fun doing it...the players must love that...running all those trick plays...

It's not often that a QB only passes for 85 yards and the team scores 52 points

Clint, it's 'how' the Bears lost that I was really commenting on. Washington is playing great & so are the Bears. Tough way to loss one. It should virtually never happen like that!
You gave an excellent assessment of the situation there.
FWIW, the arrogance/early celebrating by the bears DB who Initially had his back to the play & eventually tipped the ball (if I have my facts correct), to me looked bad in hindsight!

Oh I see what you meant...yes the arrogance should be concerning to a coach...it says a lot about the culture of the team...a lack of discipline is a coaching problem...could you imagine what some of the "old school" coaches would do to a player who did that...of course now taunting and trash talking is a way of life in the NFL...the player goes on social media and says he's sorry and that is it...

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love sustained a groin strain during Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, NFL Network reports.

The report cites an MRI Love underwent Monday to evaluate the injury. He'll undergo treatment throughout the week and has a shot to play in next Sunday's NFC North showdown against the Detroit Lions, per the report.

The prognosis is good news in Green Bay a day after head coach Matt LaFleur expressed "a high level of concern" about his quarterback's health.

Love will play. It will be raining in Green Bay. Lions due for a down game.
I called RickyPicks on this one.
He says Green Bay 21 Lions 17
Green Bay 17 Lions 24
