Judge feasts on bad pitching but he also can’t adjust when faced with great pitching. That’s why his postseason batting average is around .194.

So true, Doc, but Judge has somehow managed to be even worse this year by going 6 for 43 this season, which is 0.140.

The Yankees, Giants and Knicks all lost their games on Monday, giving NY the trifecta. There were no NY NHL teams on the schedule on Monday.
Thank goodness the Rangers didn't play last night.

That observation is spot on...and it has been a part of baseball from the very beginning...the home run hitters usually had flaws...they either strike out a lot or are poor fielders and had to be put on 1st base...the Ohtani types don't come along as frequently...the all around player who can hit for power and also be good enough to get hits.

And if the pitching on the other side is up to the task, you are doomed.

I know that you are still upset but there is a bright spot in this....your rookie QB is showing great promise so far this season...and you have your franchise QB for the future...it might not pay off this season but rebuilding your team takes more than 1 year...

Might as well go to the top...Hank Aaron...and staying in the Yankee ranks...Alex Rodriguez....if you can overlook his PED useage..
Yeah, I almost added in Hank but I figured that I had to end my post somewhere. Aside from PED usage, my other problem with ARod (not ar, LOL) is his lack of consistency at the plate during the postseason.

As much as I love Hank, Willie was IMHO the best all around player that ever played the game. I was fortunate enough to see him command CF at the Polo Grounds when he played for the Mets.

He died in June of this year....93...a career batting ave over 300...I wonder if they counted his stats in the Negro League...he was still in high school when he played with Birmingham...when I saw him play(never in person) he was so fluid chasing down balls in the outfield...he just stood out among his peers...it would be hard to not consider him the greatest player....

Did you mean Polo Grounds when he played for the Giants? He was an aging novelty when he played for the Mets at the end of his career.

I see Willie on the thread...you are our Cleveland contact...what's the latest on the stadium issue and Watson's future next year?
Public sentiment is that whether there is a new stadium or the old one gets renovated, it should be done without public money. No one wants to give tax dollars to an inept billionaire. Plus, the Bengals are calling the governor’s office about $ for upgrading their place, so now it appears to be a competition for free taxpayer money.

As for the predator, he is now the forgotten man. Endless comparisons being made between him, Flacco and Winston. Even talking about how they could still make a run for a playoff spot now that they have a QB that can move the ball. I don’t know about all that, it was only one game, but it is a ray of hope where there was none.

Overall, the fans are done with the owner looking for a handout and they are moving on from the failed Watson experiment. If Haslam had a real feel for what’s happening, he would explore selling the team. I don’t think that will happen because he’s now in the big boy’s club and would not want to lose his place. However, the shine has worn off of him and his wallet. People want a winner, not a whiner.

He also was a great base stealer. He could out hustle Pete Rose on the baseball field.

The Yankees survive to play another day. Will they be the first ever to force a game 6 in the World Series after being down 3-0? Should be an interesting evening.

While some runs were manufactured last night, most were the result of yet another two-team home run derby.

THANKS for that breakdown...fans saw the good Winston on that day....more often it's the bad Winston...they should have kept Flacco but I think they didn't want competition for the "dirtbag" because he would have outplayed him and it would cause too many internal problems with the team..

After game three my prediction was Dodgers in five. I didn’t see the Yankees as being so bad as to get swept.

Anyway, let’s see what happens with game 5. How many times have we seen a team score a ridiculous amount of runs in one game and, in the next game, struggle to score even one or two?

Dodgers fans would probably love to see a game six victory in LA.

I think it goes back to L.A. and I'm sure the network hopes that happens
