I heard her described as a “torby.” There are several patches of tabby in her coat.
A real sweetheart, until she wants something. Then she can turn into a major PITA. Especially if she’s hungry at 3AM.
She’s mostly brown and black, with (as noted above) patches that are clearly orange tabby poking through. Interestingly, the carpet in our house is quite similar in color and texture, so she can “hide” in it on occasion.Those colors are amazing, I bet they look even better in person. She likes to sit at the top of the stairs and look down (no idea why - she never explains anything), so I had to install a night light up there so we don’t trip over her in the dark.

When I was a teenager our family had a 3 legged black cat. Named it Tripod. Nickname was Trippy.
Had she not come already named, i may have gone with something like those! Sometimes i call her Hopalong Katt-sidy!

When we picked up Jazz from the cat orphanage, they called her Nitro. She didn’t answer to that, and we didn’t think it really fit a sweety like her. With that crazy coat, I thought “Camo” would be good, but then that got twisted a couple of times to “Coma,” so that was out. I eventually decided “Jazz” was fitting for her, again based on her fur. She still doesn’t answer to any of them.
We saw mamma and her fawn last evening while walking around the neighborhood. They seem very acclimated to humans as I was able to get closer than I though I would for this pic.
