I'm prepared for an underwhelming "Virtual Surround Sound" experience (afaik the 5.1 is some kind of upmix?) but is sound quality duff too?

If you like Tea for the Tillerman, check out the Stereo DSD Download of it on Super HiRez. Unlike the SACD, it comes from the Analog tapes. Very nice !

Analogue Productions screwed everyone who bought the SACD by using a PCM source. A replacement SACD should be offered. MFSL offered a replacement for Pet Sounds so it seems APO could do the same for this bungled disk.

Linda Ronstadt SACD-What's New-I picked up this one after watching the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show on HBO. She didn't appear at the induction ceremony as she has Parkinson's disease and can no longer sing. Today is her birthday; she is 68.

Herbert Grönemeyer - Mensch ( Hybrid-SACD 5.1 / 2.0 )

I bought it on ebay for the price of 1€. Mostly this rare SACD costs over 25€.
But it was described as normal CD. The picture showed a super jewel case.
So I asked the seller if something like SACD or DSD is written on the back of the case.
And he said yes and fortunately didn`t change the desription on ebay.

This as a great Rock/Pop album if you like german language.
I knew some songs from the radio. Some years ago they were playing them again and again.
The surround sound is very good, better than i expected.
Not as good as Pink Floyd`s "Division Bell 5.1" , the album i listened to right before, but so fascinating are the least mixes.

Ah Via Musicom - Eric Johnson (DVD-Audio).

The very last of the EMI/Capitol DVD-A's I needed to complete the collection. It's been pretty tough at times finding them all but so much fun! I might start all over again from the beginning for fits and giggles

25€ is already a bargain. 1€ is a steal
The sound is very nice, especially since you can clearly understand Herbert singing. In the Stereo edition I found it harder to follow the lyrics.
