Some weeks ago I went through all the streaming George Harrison Atmos albums. Some albums/songs I knew better than others and, not surprisingly there were some real gems that I had missed, including this one that’s been stuck in my head the last few days. Prompted me to pull out the ukulele today and give it a try.

Another moldy oldie. Rotation - Herb Alpert One of my five favorite acts! Met him on multiple occasions. Caught him live 8 or 9 times, including TJB reunion. For our first date, my Husband invited me to catch him live, without knowing he was in my top 5. No wonder I married him!!

One of the nicest people I ever met, famous or not. (and richest!!)

Have bought the multi-platinum Rise album several times.

Had a 12' clear vinyl of Rise/Aranjuez prior to album being released. Bought Rise on 2 ch LP, MoFi 1/2 speed, dbx LP, Japan CD (autographed) & redone expanded US CD (different track order!). Best analog is 1/2 speed or dbx LP (must have dbx decoder) CD's sounds pretty good, too. YOU REALLY NEED THIS!! (though you likely already own it) a jazz/fusion pop masterpiece. Rise was #1 single, too.

Never knew there was a video of this! Video begins with chatter, apparently driving Hwy 101 in CA.

Two notes and you know it's Herb Alpert - Miles Davis

Another oldie, this time from the '80's. Santana w/Buddy Miles doing a live version of Veracruz. Original version on Freedom album. Caught Santana 10-12 times over the years. Sans Buddy Miles, this is the lineup I caught live the most.
The older man seated and playing percussion is Armando Peraza. RIP Live on multiple occasions, I saw/heard Peraza playing a rapid conga run, and tip his cap between notes!

I might be the odd one in this circumstance, but Freedom and Shango are my favorite Santana albums.

Thanks for sharing the video.

Amazing enough, never owned a copy of Rise. But, I have corrected that and bought a sealed original vinyl from 1979. $12 shipped!! Probably won't arrive till late next week.

Here is a LIVE track. Already on QQ before!

Stay tuned, as this post is still under construction!! Another surprise!! LOL!! Check back for another link or two, which will be posted soon! Here's link to another duet from "On the Live Side") by Sidran w/special guest. Guest's song THIS TIME.:
