Yep
In the list of open orders it shows: DELIVERY ESTIMATE We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.
Then when I click on the order number it shows: Shipment #1: Not Yet Shipped We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date. You can cancel at any time.
Thanks

Just checked my order and it still shows what you quoted above. I sure hope 12-23 is wrong. Strange that there's that difference w/ Cheezmo.

@Cheezmo: when did you place your order?

It's been my experience that Amazon, when short on an item, fills the higher priced orders first.

The next 2 :yikes . Where's Dennis Moore riding through the glenn to tell us that one of these must be Tales from Topographic Oceans!! Although my preference would be Topographic and Relayer, my guess is Going for the One and The Yes Album.

Yes! Tales and Relayer- that would be awesome. But Spring '14, which means we'll be lucky to get them by year's end- patience is not one of my strengths... But as busy as SW stays, it's understandable. I'm just glad we're getting them. I only hope I live long enough to see the whole series released...

??? The price has gone up since I pre-ordered- are you saying they'll send out copies to people who ordered after me first, b/c they are paying more?

Yes. That's how they do it. I've been in this situation before.

You could prove this to yourself by re-ordering at the higher price.

Ah, so that's why I didn't get mine. Bastards! I've also noticed recently that their prices on all sorts of stuff isn't that good. It used to be that Amazon was cheaper than going to Target or whatever for regular household items - and with Prime I got my stuff in 2 days. Now I usually find it's cheaper to buy locally. Amazon has jumped the shark.

I just talked to Amazon cust serv and was told these would be in stock within 5 business days. I asked if in stock meant enough to fill all pre-orders and he said yes. He said I'd receive an email w/ shipping and tracking number by Saturday. So Cheezmo's email makes no sense... I ordered at the initial price- the lowest- so he couldn't be getting his later b/c I paid more...

@Cheezmo: I suggest you talk to cust serv and complain; hopefully you get it the same time and also, when I complained, they offered me a $5 credit, which they changed to 1 day shipping when I asked for that.

My order was placed on 8/31.

Nonsuch (Blu-ray) has shipped and should be delivered Monday.
CTTE (Blu-ray) says it will be delivered by 8pm on 12/23.

It is very odd that someone else has the exact opposite situation. Like they did a lottery or something on which one each person gets first.

I placed my order on 9/3. I'd definitely talk w/ cust serv if I was you.

So Bender and I ordered on 8/31. Bender is getting CTTE Monday, I am getting Nonsuch Monday. We both have been quoted 12/23 for the other.

Clearly 12/23 is when they expect their next shipment of both in. How they chose who got what from their first shipments is a mystery. Since Progrules ordered later and is getting CTTE first, that makes little sense. I clearly ordered it before him, why is he getting it before me?

But, I don't have Nonsuch in any form (somehow missed it as I have several other XTC albums) and I've had CTTE in various forms over the years, I can live with it but I might make a call just to ask what is up that people that ordered after me are getting it first. Looks like I ordered it at $24.49, if pricing is a factor.

$24.49? Maybe the difference is that you got the BR; I ordered the dvd-a. If you stated that, I missed it. Sorry for the confusion. Did Bender get the dvd-a?

I ordered the DVDA and received it last night. It is awesome. I also ordered the DVDA of nonsuch. Maybe this sheds some light on the Amazon.

Cool- glad you got yours and are enjoying it- though I'm a bit jealous. So, if I had ordered 4 days earlier, I'd be in heaven now; oh well, just myself to blame- procrastination is probably my biggest flaw- will I ever learn? But I'm glad Amazon is fulfilling pre-orders in order. I guess they got separate batches of these- hope that means they're selling like hotcakes.

Yup, all our confusion over the BDA vs. DVD-Audio versions. Move along, nothing to see here....

LOL. Damn rubberneckers...

I'm not sure but I think it's my first post so hi everyone!
I just had to make a comment about this release, I'm not as hard-core as a lot of you but I still got a okay hi-fi 5.1 system, I got probably 60 albums in surround, all the Wilson releases, and a lot of other albums ranging from Steely Dan too Talking Heads in surround. But this Yes release has blown my mind!

I honestly think it's the best mix Wilson I'm done, maybe maybe it's that yes music is perfect for 5.1 mixes but it's just an outstanding lossless mix. Great separation really aggressive mix but in a good way! If Wilson don't get a Grammy this year for this one I don't know what to say!
Anyway you're all in for a treat those of you haven't received your album yet!
Now I'm back for another spin take care everyone.
And Neil Wilkes you can be so proud of your work, thank you. :)

Eric, welcome aboard, thanks for your first post, you chose a good album to make your first post for.
I just saw that my CTTE is being shipped from uk so have about a week or so to join the YES party.

I told my youngest daughter this morning after our morning jog that there is going to be 2 surround releases on heavy repeat very soon, the Xtc and Yes.

I like the XTC release much more.
I am a big Yes fan, but the sounds on 70s Yes albums are thin, no punch at all.
The recorded vocals are good.

Compare it to the 70s Rush or Led Zeps or Genesis outputs.
They all sound better in my opinion.

I had also the problem with Fragile on DVD-A.

Steven Wilson did a great job on CTTE, but he can not make it bigger, if the source is a bit weak.

What makes YES so special for me is their musical performance.
And I wish they had more taste to a fatter sound in the 70s.

Pretty good guess, off maybe by one little factor...

Anyone else not care so much about MINE HAS SHIPPED! or ITS ARRIVED or other posts about *orders*? Can we separate out that stuff to a separate 'Glee' thread?

Um, no. The Yes 70s sources are no 'weaker' than Genesis's , or Rush's, 70's mixes.

And the Genesis and Rush 5.1 remixing/masterings are quite different from each other, they are almost entirely different philosophies. The Fragile 5.1 mix is yet another (and it's quite loud).

Led Zep? That's all live stuff (whose sound has been complained about here too).

agree, in the 70's all they had was tape. No excuses. It all happens in the studio, and the engineer who is doing it. I have heard excellent tape masters, So what about Fragile? I have the dvd audio and it's not too shabby.
